Zac Efron Channels Edward Cullen in 17 Again
While watching the Zac Efron film 17 Again, I couldn’t help laughing out loud at a scene that is easily identifiable as a very gentle parody of Twilight vampire Edward Cullen. (Or, I’m too Twilight bound that I see connections everywhere. LOL)
In a classroom sequence where Zac’s character, Mike O’Donnell, is faced with the possibility that his daughter (y’all know the storyline right?), Maggie, might be having pre-marital sex, he raises his hand and proposes abstinence as a better option.
And then, Mike becomes very idealistic by saying that sex should only be done with someone you love, and, declaring that since he’s not in love, there is no need for him to learn the lesson for the day — how to put on a condom.
Mike exhorts his classmates to abstain until true love and marriage come along…
Abstinence, true love, marriage… Sounds like Edward…
And, Mike is 17, the same age as Edward.

Oh yes, I’m SURE this was a reference to Edward Cullen’s character. Twilight mania is everywhere.
And yeah, it’s probably on our minds at the most unlikely of times too. There’s this tall, skinny with auburn hair where I work and I have the worst crush on him because he is Edward-like in appearance.
I’m an idiot.
A happy idiot, though.

Lorna, i feel what you felt too. You’re addict to twilight so you connected twilight with 17 again. Like me, Zathura (kristen) and Harry potter and the goblet of fire (robert)
oh have you ever seen Zathura: Space adventure yet? It’s really interesting and funny. Kristen as Lisa was so fantastic. And there were some dialog that Lisa said to the astronaut it’s like edward’s word to bella. I laughed a lot when i heard that. Hahahaha you must watch it
