Will Robert Pattinson Shoot a New Film in Spring 2009
The Runaways in Late Spring Variety reports that “The Runaways film begins production in late spring.”
Late spring would be around May, but, the New Moon cast is scheduled to be in Volterra Italy for two weeks during the same month, implying that the New Moon shoot will be in early May so as to accommodate The Runaways schedule.
Kristen Stewart is confirmed as a cast member of the biopic. In the meantime, she is scheduled to work on the New Moon location in Vancouver Canada starting March 2009.
Dakota Fanning in New Moon and The Runaways Dakota Fanning is currently the favorite by both the Twilight cast and fans to play Volturi vampire Jane in New Moon, and, although unconfirmed, is expected to join the New Moon cast in Volterra Italy.
(Update: Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that Dakota Fanning “will, indeed, sink her teeth into the role of the young vampire Jane in ‘New Moon.’”)
Dakota Fanning is also reportedly in negotiations “to play lead singer Cheri Currie in “The Runaways,” the biopic of the ’70s all-girl band that already has “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart playing Joan Jett.”
If all the details are ironed out, then Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart will probably proceed immediately to The Runaways set after the New Moon shoot wraps. And then, at the latest, the talented duo will most likely head back for the New Moon publicity events by October 2009.
Robert Pattinson in New Film So, if Kristen Stewart will be allowed to shoot The Runaways sometime after New Moon, then Rob’s manager and agents should schedule another film for the dedicated young actor before he has to plunge back into doing publicity for New Moon and shooting for the third installment of the Twilight series — Eclipse, even if it’s just a cameo role, to make sure that Rob is not “Twilighted out by the end of the year.”
(Update: Kristen Stewart has confirmed the length of the break, “We’ll be shutting down for eight weeks in between New Moon and Eclipse and that’s when I’ll do [Joan Jett in The Runaways].”)
Besides, Rob gave up the film Parts Per Billion, which was scheduled for a January 2009 shoot, to prioritize the pre-production requirements of New Moon.
Summit Entertainment, the producer of the Twilight series, should help its actors be artistically fulfilled as well so that they’ll be renewed psychologically and creatively to work on the Twilight saga and its publicity juggernaut.
New Moon is scheduled for a 20 November 2009 opening, while Eclipse will be released on 30 June 2010.

Hi Ana. In an E! interview, “Kristen Stewart says there will be a fourth Twilight movie. She can’t imagine why there wouldn’t be a big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s Breaking Dawn, the last novel in her young vampire series.”
