Why Did Rachelle Lefevre Leave The Twilight Saga

The Hollywood Reporter states that Rachelle Lefevre will be joining Oscar Award nominee Paul Giamatti in Rome to shoot a film in the historic city.

Rosamund Pike, Minnie Driver and Rachelle Lefevre are playing Paul Giamatti’s many wives in “Barney’s Version,” the adaptation of the Mordecai Richler novel being directed by Richard Lewis. Robert Lantos is producing via his Serendipity Point Films. “Barney’s” tells the story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky (Giamatti).

Lefevre will play Clara, Barney’s first wife, a wild, troubled artist.

Principal photography starts Aug. 17.

Please note that the start of filming is the same period as that of The Twilight Saga Eclipse

I think that as an actor, Barney’s Version will provide Rachelle Lefevre with the opportunity to work with award winning actors such as Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman, who will play his father.

Barney’s Version will most probably not be as popular as the human vampire werewolf franchise, but, it can bring more attention to Rachelle Lefevre’s versatility as an actor in a notable role, thus, probably leading her to make the hard decision to leave the Summit Entertainment film.

    new article on access hollywood, rachel didnot want to leave and summit picked up the option for her to play victoria! she’s not happy about the recast and was committed to the role!

    This decision will eclipse the entire series. I can’t believe that Stephanie Meyer is not posting any comments about the decision to change the actress playing the role of Victoria.. What a huge shame. I feel sad too and am not prepared to support the last two movies on [principle]. B-A-D move Summit! :~(
