Was the Original Concept for Twilight a Rock N Roll Theme

MTV writes about another vampire movie and its interesting possibilities

Written and directed by Rob Stefaniuk, the Canadian horror-comedy follows members of a struggling rock band who inadvertently discover the secret to success: becoming vampires. The trailer promises hilarity, particularly the sight of an eyepatch-wearing, crossbow-wielding Malcolm McDowell. The supporting cast is tremendous too, with cameos from rockers Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Moby and Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson! You also get Kid in the Hall Dave Foley. And vampire comedy. What’s not to love?

The mention of a rock band reminded me of a Catherine Hardwicke and Stephenie Meyer interview wherein Stephenie mentions that one film company (before Summit Entertainment) who had the rights at the time to Twilight wanted to make Bella a part of a rock band.

I can’t find the video interview now, but, if someone has the link to it or remembers this particular interview, can you leave a comment below (or do I have a faulty memory)? LOL Thanks!

emilie de ravin sort of mocks catherine hardwicke and robsten’s twilight audition

“When we [screen] tested together, there was no scenes involving kissing and obviously we didn’t test with a sex scene,” de Ravin laughed in her interview with HitFix. She mocked just how awkward such an audition process would become. “’We want to see another scene, so take off your clothes. We just want to see the chemistry, trust us, it’s O.K.’”

i didn’t want tot take it seriously… but oh well. you guys might just want to read it as well.

Is this how Kristen say “Yes I am with Robert but I don’t want to talk about what we have because it is too special to be shared to the public” hehehe

Italian Interview with Kristen Stewart Addresses the Robsten Issue…. Sort of

Last question: he wants to clarify its relationship with Pattinson?
«No. “No. Posso solo dire che con Twilight siamo diventati tutti molto uniti e che quello che si racconta di noi da fuori finisce per svilire le nostre relazioni».

I can only say that with Twilight we have all become very close and that what is told us from the outside comes to demean our relations.

Are you saying that you’re just good friends?

    «No, non è ciò che ho detto».

    “No, not what I said.”

I never did like Emilie de Ravin for some reason I couldn’t think of but now I have a reason to hate her. Sort of. I think it was a great audition. And the chemistry between Kris and Rob is just hot. So yeah I’m grateful CH did that.

  • JO Says:

I’m just sort of wondering if she actually hurt the movie more than helping it. The reviews had very little to say about her. One person really can’t carry a movie.
