Was Robert Pattinson Wearing the NY Yankees Cap of Kristen Stewart
Allegation #1: Kristen Stewart allegedly owns a New York Yankees cap based on a photo with a fan.
However, let me point out that the photo of the alleged cap in question shows the BACK of the cap, with no possible way to discern its design in front. To view the whole pic with the fan, please click here
Basing it on the product information or logo at the back, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can easily be wearing NY Yankee caps that were produced by the same manufacturer, but, could be entirely different in front. A Google search for New York Yankees cap will produce numerous images of the famous team’s logo on several cap designs. For a comparison of the NY Yankees logo on the caps, please see photo below.
Allegation #2: The New York Yankees cap that Robert Pattinson wore repeatedly on the Remember Me set is allegedly owned by Kristen Stewart, which she allegedly gave him during his alleged trip from NYC to Los Angeles on 20-21 June 2009.
I perused the photos from the first week of shooting Remember Me, and, cannot spot the New York Yankees cap, which partially gives credence to the allegation.

Allegation #3: Kristen Stewart allegedly told Robert Pattinson during the 2009 San Diego Comic Con, “You’re wearing my hat!” when he entered through the doors. (go to 0:30)

However, the Entertainment Tonight video, which forms the basis for this allegation, has musical background. May I know how was it possible to hear Kristen Stewart say anything? Is there another video with no music or where their conversation can be heard more clearly? If yes, please provide the link so that we can try to discern what she may have said.
Another possibility is that someone can read lips. However, please be reminded that people who can read lips usually require their subject for a full frontal view of their lips.
In this particular video, Kristen Stewart faces the side, and, at one point, even covers her mouth.
MY Conclusions:
The ownership of the same New York Yankees cap by Kristen Stewart cannot be established from the photo. If someone can produce a photo of Kristen Stewart wearing the cap with the same design in front as that of Robert Pattinson, that would be very helpful.
Since ownership cannot be established, whether she allegedly gave a New York Yankees cap to Robert Pattinson, therefore, cannot be determined; plus, there is no inconclusive proof that Robert Pattinson ever made the NYC to LA trip.
What Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were talking about in the Entertainment Tonight video also cannot be determined.

Sharing clothes, yes, can be an indicator of intimacy, but, there were also other things to celebrate about Robsten during the 2009 Comic Con. However, they are mostly intangible.

Here’s a picture that made me believe it was one and the same hat that RobSten wore. I regret that KS didn’t wear the hat the same way Rob did but this doesn’t deter nor changed my opinion.

Again, in my opinion, the reason precisely why Kristen covered her mouth is because of the slip of her tongued when she said “You’re wearing my Hat! Though, I’m not a professional lip reader, the angle of the camera doesn’t require frontal shot to be able to read Kristen’s lips. It was pretty clear to me, in the same manner that a lot of people who have seen the video has the same interpretation.
But then again, to each his own. I’m not saying this just because I want people to believe me.I’m writing this because that was what I can derived from that EW Red Carpet video, hence, I believe she uttered those words,

I agree that you really need to see the front of Kristen’s hat for comparison. Also, notice the fit of the hat on Rob’s head. He still has plenty of “strap” left on the back of his hat for adjustment. It would seem that the hat that fits Kristen’s head snugly would be way too small for Rob to fit on his larger head. I propose that they each have their own New York Yankees hat. About Kristen’s comment to Rob – she could be saying “You’re wearing a hat!” not “You’re wearing my hat!” Summit may have asked Rob not to wear a hat during Comic Con for better photos. They sure look cute together though.

Hi! I really love your site. I for one believe it’s the SAME HAT. I just love ROBSTEN. I have just been recently hooked on them just this June 2009. I got hooked not because of the book or the movie but because of their chemistry, which by the way is Sizzling Hot. I can’t wait for Vancouver and the Eclipse filming to start.

That photo has GOT to be out there. I love the timeline that says he didn’t start wearing it til AFTER the mysterious possible trip to LA. That hat is Rob’s. I met him on set of RM after one of the late shoots and asked him about the hat. He bought it in NYC. Plus, girls, the sticker is still in it. It’s brand new. He also bought the lobster one in Long Island.
Sorry! Let’s look for more Robsten proof though.

The evidence of Nonsten is overwhelming. I can tell even the Robsten believers think so too or they wouldn’t be desperately trying to make more out of a unreadable/inaudible comment between the two. Yes, there are 100’s of explanations you could come up with to “prove” its not her hat. However, you never see fans put in a detailed denial explanation when other cast members share things. Rob wore Peter’s hat out to a bar to go incognito and everyone thought it was the same hat based on a total of two pictures. The most logical explanation is usually the right one. Picture of Rob by a plane as the hat’s first sighting on him. Rumor he went to LA but no confirmation/denial. Kristen is a Yankees fan and wore a hat with at least the same exact backing. Now, he wears it in NYC and she has a huge reaction when she sees him with it on in person. Hmmm. What is the most likely scenario? Its probably her hat.

Ummm…if she knew he had her hat, why would she be surprised? Looking at the many, many still taken of those exact moments at CC show Kristen never actually looks at the hat. I’ve watched the vid several times (with a friend of mine who wants Robsten to be real like crazy) and neither of us saw Kristen say “That’s my hat.” It looks like she was surprised by Nikki and wondered if Rob knew about Nikki being there. That’s just as plausible as the other explanation. If you watch the vid wanting to see something, you’ll see what you want to see.
As for the fan comment about asking him about the hat…why is that not plausible? It’s as plausible as any other comments that people make bearing in mind that ANYTHING could be made up and posted online. We never know what is real and what is not.

And regarding nonsteners (which I am not because I like Kristen and Rob both) being worried, I’ve seen nothing but desperation to find anything that proves Robsten exists since CC. It’s all over the net…if I were to be honest, I would perceive that shippers are worried. But if I say that, shippers will tell me I’m jealous because I want Rob for myself. I’m too old for him and happily married. I just think the guy is cool. But I’m sure you’ll all find some way to slam my comments that is emotional or defensive and doesn’t really address the issue.
By the way, I have to say that I am impressed with this posting on this site. It proves to me that this site is always willing to look at Robsten from both sides and that is heartening no matter what the truth is.

To the other ANTI-capgate, ANTI-Robsten theory… Kristen reacted that way, ONLY because she was ‘play’ mad/surprised that Rob got to wear a hat and she couldn’t per Summit’s edict. Uh, excuse me but, eye-roll. LMAO How juvenile would that be? lol
Summit very OBVIOUSLY doesn’t tell anyone in THAT cast what they can and cannot wear (and even if they did – WHO in THAT CAST would listen to them? lol), if Summit was really being clothes/hat nazis they would have had Kristen take off that ‘minor threat’ shirt and Ashley out of that dress.

KB, you may have missed previous postings where we DID discuss Kristen’s surprise at Rob in the hat: I actually mentioned this very thing last night…that if in fact they were both ‘backstage,’ before going out and taking the group/cast pic, then why WOULD she have been surprised (as she would have already seen him wearing it)??
Well, the obvious answer and what makes the most sense to me, is that Rob was NOT wearing it, she hadn’t seen it, and when she wasn’t looking he may have pulled it out, and put it on to surprise Kristen with the hat.
If she gave it to him (and has been seeing him wearing it in all the papz pics for the last several weeks while in NYC, as a kind of ‘loving shout-out’ since their possibly meeting in LA) then PERHAPS Rob wanted to ’surprise’ her by wearing it in the group photo.
It’s a cloth hat, easily malleable/foldable and could have easily been in his back pocket the whole time.
I suspect he pulled it out and put it on as they were heading out for the cast pic – hence her ’surprise!’
IMO, this makes it every bit as meaningful as we think it might be, as he is consciously letting her know certain things. It also fully explains her reaction.
Afterall, why would Kristen have a reaction over Rob just wearing any old cap that she has no connection to??

He definitely didn’t have it before the weekend he supposedly went to LA. This is one of the June 7th pictures of Rob walking (Tom Stu is in the rest of the set) and you can clearly see the hat isn’t a Yankee hat. Its a blue hat but not one with a Yankee logo. Allegation #2 is saying Kristen gave him the hat June 21-22; he clearly is wearing the hat in all the pictures on June 15, 18 and 19. First the t-shirt homage to one another, than the body language analysis and now hat-gate. Wow, people are insistent on putting these two together by any means necessary. Not her hat. It’s a new hat, it still has the sticker in it.
The picture of her wearing a yankee cap proves nothing. The back of ALL yankee hats usually have that signature.
In the video you can’t tell what she’s saying, she could be saying something about the hat, but it’s virtually impossible to tell.
Someone said above that they had asked Rob about the hat in NYC. Looks like he said he bought it himself.

I’m a baseball fan, and I’m here to tell you that each major league team has about 50 different styles of hats- they make them in different colors, washes, details, some are adjustable, some are not, some have a snap at the back, some have a buckle – some have a hole in back, some do not.
Each year, a team will retire/discontinue certain styles, and come out with new ones the next season. For instance, I have an Indians hat that I got 2 years ago – believe me, you couldn’t find that same hat today if your life depended on it. It’s been retired.
The hat that Rob is wearing is very stylized and appears to be an older retro looking NY Yankees logo in cream, in a pre-washed out indigo. Quite possibly you couldn’t find it today to even buy it.
That’s why you’ll understand when I say how UNLIKELY it would be for BOTH Kristen and Rob to have TWO of this exact SAME style. The most reasonable LOGICAL explanation is that it is ONE hat, and it probably belonged to Kristen, and she gave it to Rob. End of story.

Hat-Gate: Rumor has it Rob’s manager/publicist Nick gave him Kristen’s hat to wear. If this is true that would totally explain Kristen’s “Dude, we’re in public, talk about subtle” sweet arm smacking response!
NOTE: It’s a rumor, no way to prove it except that Rob was hatless during the backstage EW footage after the interview and suddenly wears the hat at the red carpet.
One could say that it’s part of Nick’s job to attend Rob’s stuff when he doesn’t need it, so who knows. Nick did have that delicious smirk on his face on the red carpet. (Nick’s the dude behind Robsten on the red carpet. The one with the dark hair, grinning like an idiot)

Rob wasn’t wearing a hair band. He was wearing a shoelace or string. Just like Kristen was sporting post-Japan where they were eye s—ing like crazy. Its definitely not a hair thing because its tied in the middle. That plus the hat, plus the bag, plus the sharing of two pairs of non-Rayban sunglasses. Come on people? They clearly don’t want to make a public spectacle about their relationship which is smart and mature.. but its a little much for random co-stars.

look at how they can’t keep their eyes off each other and smile, listen to how they obviously insert personal details when talking about their characters,
( the moment in the panel when she says does not need to explain herself and feels what she feels and that’s it, especially to/with him and points at Rob who sighs and gets all flustered and so touched that he can’t even answer the next question).
I mean really, what more do you need ? there are 1 or more hours of videos of this , I am not looking at one or 2 isolated photos.
Have we become so desensitized and doubtful of these signals that we don’t recognize them any more as “tangible”? so , yes I don’t know when they got together , but have no doubt that they are now a couple ….(and I do not feel the need to convince the non-believers, they have a right to their own opinion!)
PS I have not seen Twilight yet! Just got enthralled not too long ago by the obvious chemistry they share and became curious about them …

just noticed.. but maybe im just makin this up.. could Rob’s hand at 0:35 be the reason why Kristen moved her arms to R at 0:38 and away from Nikki’s at 0:41… ?

acho que se for o mesmo bone isso e bom acho que isso explica muitas coisa ele e lindo e conbina muito bem com ela e acho tambem que as pessoas nao possa ter ouvido nada nessas horas e dificil dezer algo mais de anti mao digo que se eles estiverem juntos como as pessoas falao e bom gosto muito dele e quero que ele tenha muita coisa pra fazer para nos nao canso de dizer ele e demaissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
