Was Robert Pattinson Brought to the Hospital After the Cab Incident

I’m disturbed to learn from bauergriffinonline.com that Robert Pattinson “continued filming Remember Me after the [cab] incident.”

And now, Entertainment Tonight is reporting that a “rep for Summit Entertainment tells ET that the actor is doing fine after the incident and production continues on his movie.”

Earlier, RadarOnline.com wrote in its exclusive report that “it appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip.”

I would just like to point out that some injuries do not manifest themselves immediately. I am not a doctor, but, for safety’s sake, I think he should have been brought to the hospital.

When Angelina Jolie was injured on the Salt set in New York, she was escorted to the hospital immediately and then released to resume shooting. The official statement was:

“This morning while filming an action sequence… Angelina Jolie sustained a minor injury. As a precautionary measure, Ms. Jolie will be taken to the hospital and examined. Production on the film has resumed.”

I’m a bit apprehensive with the fact that the Summit statement does not have the sentence, “As a precautionary measure, Mr. Pattinson was taken to the hospital and examined, before being released to resume shooting on his film.” :(

  • Alexx Says:

i hope he doesn’t develop some injury that will prevent him from filming or more importantly cause him pain! poor Rob, things don’t seem to be going well at the minute… what with the cab and the fans making him want to cry, bless :( x

  • Marianna Says:

Summit seems more interested in making money than taking care of the actors.Poor thing

  • marya Says:

uhmm… i’m not sure though but there are sites that say Radar ain’t a reliable source. some people close to rob – as well as people who are near him during that time probably fans, witnesses, bystanders, etc. – claim there’s no accident whatsoever.

  • twilight Says:

Thank you for raising the question. However, Summit itself has confirmed that Robert Pattinson was hit by a cab.

ETProdSharlette: Rob Pattinson was hit by a cab in NY. Just got off the phone with movie rep. He’s fine and it was not caused by fans. Shooting Remember Me

What is different from the Radar and the Summit statements is about the role the fans played in the incident. The accident is not in question. It occurred. Thank you.

I’ve never seen that facial expression on him. Was that after he was hit? I feel that Summit doing a really crappy job with him and they seem to be more interested in making money. I also feel like they treat him like he’s some sort of a puppet! I’ll be so sad if anything terrible happened to Rob.

Hi Isabel. No. this was taken on the first day. I couldn’t find any embeddable pic from that day. :(

Update: Please take a look at the post again. Found an embeddable pic of Rob on the afternoon after the cab incident. :)

it here that it wasnt fans who made rob get into the accident??? http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/the_awful_truth/b129935_Robert_Pattinson_in_Danger.html

Everyone- everywhere I read he was hit by a cab even the Summit people say so–but they feel it is overblown as an injury. I agree with Twilight woman. We are not doctors and neither are they…he should have been sent to hospital and had an xray of that injury and then made a statement it was nothing if that was the case….I don’t know about you guys but it seems to me that Summit is afraid the appeal of Rob will not last and while they have him in the squeeze of Twilight saga are pushing him into other of their films….crap guys he is making multi millons for you at Summit– can’t you take care of him properly with security and doctor care for cripe sake. He should have never been allowed to cross the street like that….this sucks. Rob is more than a pretty face….he is a good actor and will make more money for the Summit if he is not tired out or injured….shoot.
