Was Kristen Stewart Given the Rock & Republic Dress from the 2009 Teen Choice Awards

The Rock & Republic dress with the spike details on the skirt that Kristen Stewart wore at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet was easily the most eye-catching outfit at the event, thus, The Twilight Saga heroine was chosen as the “cover girl” that accompanied most of the articles that featured the annual affair, which meant a lot of interest and publicity generated for its creator.
In their appreciation, I sincerely hope that Rock & Republic gave the dress to Kristen Stewart as a gift. However, there is a huge possibility she may not have been able to do so, as Kristen explains in her Entertainment Weekly video interview.
“The really cool stuff I never get to keep any of that,” the 19-year-old actress says in a video interview with EW.com. “Like anything for an event or anything like that. I’m just not important enough yet, I think.”

Maybe she’s not allowed to keep the special stuff ’cause it doesn’t match her own personal style. She doesn’t care about how she looks like Rob, I don’t say this in a bad way, she’s just not a fashion icon like Sienna Miller, Emma Watson, Keira Knightley etc. Designers give their clothes bags for free to celebrities that can support them in their everyday life, in order to advertise the brand.
I believe Kristen is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood and the proper styling could bring out her beauty even more. Her face, especially her eyes are amazing. She’s stunning in her own way. I must admit though that I like her better in a more feminine look.
Please Lorna keep up the fashion posts, love it!

2. Cool Stuff. Haha… I think I initially misunderstood KS’s sentence. I thought she was happy that she didn’t get any of the wardrobe, then I realize that ‘cool stuff’ here means the clothes. LOL.

Wow, I find it amazing/amusing just how many people seem to be totally hung up on Kris’ hair!

Oh KStew, this breaks my heart “I’m just not important enough yet, I think.” I remember she liked those Chanel stuff she wore in her InStyle and Vogue photoshoots too. Guess they didn’t let her keep those huh? It’s ok. I hope she believes that she doesn’t need all the high brow stuff (except for events) given to fashion icons. I would rather she retains her edginess and laidback comfy style. She’s naturally beautiful anyway. And Dreea, yes I don’t get it why people are so hung up on the hair, when it can grow back, it can be recolored. She did it for something important, that’s all there is to it.
What I’m wondering about though is why Converse is not capitalizing on Kristen’s popularity and has not given her an ad contract yet. She would be a great spokesperson for the brand. She’s the only one who wore them with a couture dress for an awards show, as far as I’m concerned. Heck, she practically lives on sneakers! Converse should send her all the styles and colors she wants

She is cute, lovely, and beautiful, no matter what she wears! She’s natural and I don’t think she likes people telling her what to wear.

this girl is beautiful with or without make-up, short hair, long hair, black hair or brown hair…even blonde. we usually see hollywood gals with the latest fashion and sometimes i am so intrigued to see her glam up so all the attention is on her. but she has her own style that makes her so cool and indeed an attention grabber in her own way.

@Loreley – Totally agree, fierce interview, love the way she comes across! So grow up for 19 – yet so vulnerable at the same time…

But I totally choked when the “are you f&*!ing Robert Pattinson?” comment came out of her mouth!

Dreea I just read it. And oh my, I never thought it was possible to love her more. LOL. That did it. What an insightful interview. And that script/crush analogy made me LMAO. But my favorite, although I love the whole interview is when she said “I literally shake my feet in my sleep when I’m working, I cannot turn off, because I don’t have enough time to myself…” That blew me away, realizing how this girl is dead serious about her job, not that I didn’t believe that before, but now with those words–very raw and honest–you just feel for her. But she’s tough and she knows herself really well. How many 19 year olds can say those stuff about themselves, about life and everything else – with much insight and substance?
Geez I’m totally fangirling now. ORD overdrive with a huge side order of Fierce KStew.

I also thought the familiar ’she just laughs and rolls her eyes’ when asked about her relationship with Rob was most interesting (same as her reaction at Comic-Con). I see no reason for them to keep quiet and shrug it off if there was nothing there. I have a feeling that’s the part she’s fighting hard to keep for herself…

aaaawww.. in those last seconds of the photo shoot video lorna posted, you can see how taylor tries to put his arm around kristen and she punches him. funny thing, cuz the grin on his face and her instantaneous reaction makes me think that maybe he was trying to imitate what rob did in a photoshoot and she was like “stop pulling my leg”..

@Loreley: LOL to Taylor imitating Rob, good eye! but that’s actually kinda sad. I think Taylor is a good boy and is actually talented so he does not need to try to be mini-Rob or something. will not work for him that way.
