Twilight Love Showers on ATwilightKiss

Some of you may have noticed that you had difficulty accessing the site from 31 May 2009 till 03 June 2009.

I experienced the same difficulty and was at a loss as to what was happening. Since I am basically an ignoramus when it comes to technical matters, I turned to my technical adviser, Manuel Viloria, who shocked me with his findings.

The server, where ATwilightKiss was being hosted for free, had to shut down the site because the high volume of traffic was slowing down all the other sites that they were hosting!

Although ATK has been steadily increasing with regards to its number of visitors, I didn’t think it would reach this level.

When I started, I was a lone Twilighter who wanted to write some of the romantic, humorous or irreverent ideas that were just exploding in her head, and, if some wanted to read it as well, why not?

This development made me pause, because the only way I could continue is to move to another web host and *gulp* plunk down a considerable amount monthly. Although I was completely agitated with the notion, the thought of stopping the writing was even more agonizing.

So, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the Twilight love that you have heaped and showered on ATwilightKiss, from the regular and occasional readers, to those who comment, send me links, give me tips, write “love” emails, refer the site, to the lurkers who prefer to be anonymous. :-D

And, a super humongous THANK YOU again to Manuel Viloria who stunned me with his speedy assessment of the situation, his research as to who can host ATK, and, setting up the whole transfer in such a breathtaking whirlwind that I have dubbed him the Site Saver! ;-) *standing ovation with clapping*

    If it is then my whole mood has changed. This website has really entertained me a lot. It made me feel good when i was sad. And now its all over? Well i wish you the best of luck and i think you’re Awesome!

    Thanks, CF! I also like the site design. It’s called Elegant Grunge by Michael Tyson. I chose it, because, for me, it combines the old world look with the new, sorta like Edward coming together with Bella. ;-)

    Hi. I am in England and came across this site after visiting lots of Twilight related sites. This is my favourite and I visit it everyday. The way you write is so intriguing and I fall in love with every story.

    thank you manuel viloria for saving atwilightkiss… its so nice and fortunate that you have a friend who could easily whip up a solution for you. Im glad you decided to continue on, i seriously love your blog, its my very own switzerland! :)

    oh, btw, cant wait to see you on the 25th!!! please let me know ur time availability on that day, since i pretty much have to squeeze everything in on 8hrs!! and, i wont be staying at holiday inn anymore, instead will be at mandarin… :(

    i honestly dont know where to get the dolls though, im quite sure i’ve visited all twilight related shops there is in long island and manhattan area in NY. so if ever you have an idea, just point me in the right direction, oki? :)

    i was really getting sad … i visit everyday and when i couldnt i was like “no what’s going on ” … i really like it here … so when i tried with my phone and couldnt … i missed it … i really wanted to read and since the movie awards had come i was like i wonder what lorna is writing … yes i was sad … and then when i finally could enter i actually jumped from my chair … hahaha … good job lorna …
