True Blood Reminds Me Of Twilight

I’ve always been a scaredy-cat, and vampires definitely frighten me. Twilight is the first book with vampires that I’ve ever read, and I can only do so because it’s more of a love story than a supernatural one. However, with the comments of Twilighters who are also fans of True Blood, I was encouraged to watch the hit HBO series when I caught it by chance on 22 March 2010.
Fortunately, it was the first two episodes so I wasn’t lost. And, with the first show, I was fascinated. By the second one, I was totally bitten. From the silence of Bill Compton’s thoughts from the probing power of Sookie Stackhouse, to Sookie’s fascination with Bill even with the presence of inherent danger, to Bill’s attempts to frighten Sookie, to the ravenous sucking of blood of Sookie of Bill’s blood, to the riveting palpable sexual hunger between Sookie and Bill — all reminded me of the Bella Swan and Edward Cullen tandem. Woot!

i have noticed that in everything to do with vampires(twilight, true blood, vampire diaries) there is always a physic, or someone who can read minds. twilight you have Alice and Edward in true blood Sookie reads minds and in the vampire diaries you have bonnie you is a witch, wonder why that is?

I’ve seen a preview or two and the show does look good. It’s just that the girl’s name, SOOKIE, makes me puke in my mouth. Kind of impossible for me to take seriously.

I agree with the few similarities, even though they are quite different… I love them both and Vampire Diaries!!
