Tom Sturridge Rocks in The Boat That Rocked

Video Uploaded from FilmTrailersChannel

I have just finished watching on HBO Asia the delightful film The Boat That Rocked, otherwise known as Pirate Radio in the United States. It brought rock and roll back to its proper place as a battle cry of rebellion.

Robert Pattinson BFF Tom Sturridge had to essay quite a principal role in this quirky film. It helped that he was in such excellent company, which included Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost, and Kenneth Branagh.

His character of Young Tom was quite apt in the real and reel sense since he was the newbie in the scene. It was a very complicated acting project that required dexterity not to go overly maudlin and yet remain a sensitive dork. And, I must say ‘Bravo’ regarding his comic and thrilling underwater sequence in the end.

A brilliant film that was made more so by its company of actors! *clap clap*
