A Twilight Kiss

SEQ 01. INT. Living Room. A wall clock reads 10:30. A wife and her husband are in the living room.

The woman is seated on the sofa reading Twilight, while her husband works on the computer. While he’s preoccupied, she steals glances at the computer longingly and then at the wall clock several times.

When the hands of the clock hit 11pm, she ostentatiously yawns.

The man glances at the clock too and shuts down the computer. He holds his hand out to his wife, and they both go in to the bedroom.

SEQ 02. INT. Bedroom. The married couple is on the bed.

The two prepare for bed, kiss then lie down. Both lamps are turned off.

The woman turns away and pretends to sleep, but, is actually staring at the digital clock.

When it hits 12mn, she cautiously checks whether her husband is asleep. Seeing he’s dead to the world, she carefully slides out of bed and tiptoes stealthily towards the bedroom door.

SEQ 03. INT. Living room. The room is in darkness.

The wife approaches the computer and turns it on. She turns her head in a guilty manner towards the closed bedroom door constantly.

After fiddling with the keys, she reads, and whatever she’s reading makes her smile in pleasure.

There is a shot of the computer screen, which can be seen for the first time.

The wife gives a bigger smile and starts to type enthusiastically.

This script is based on a true story that was told to me by a Twilighter, who also happens to be ATwilightKiss reader.

I thought it would be funny to make it seem as if the wife is having an illicit tryst that’s set at midnight, or, maybe, create the impression that she’s having an affair with somebody online, when actually, she’s a Twilight “addict,” who needs her daily Twilight fix and has to hide it from her husband.
