The Secret Male Society of Robsten Twilighters

Twilight Cast

SEQ 01. INT. Airplane Business Class section. Night. The camera pans the sea of seated men in business suits. The flight attendant makes an announcement and gestures to the personal monitors that accompany each seat. The lights dim.

The camera focuses on one man, who furtively looks at the other passengers seated on the same row, but, separated by the aisle from him. Satisfied that they could not see what he is doing, he presses the necessary buttons to make his movie of choice come out on the monitor.

The opening images of the Twilight film appear. The man checks again that nobody can see what he’s watching. Convinced with the success of hiding his secret, he settles down to watch the movie.

As the film’s end credits roll, he stands up to go to the comfort room at the back of the plane.

When he exits the door and starts to go back to his seat, he suddenly stops at the aisle. From his vantage point, he could see that all the monitors that were on were showing Twilight, albeit, with different sequences. One monitor showed the fight scene at the ballet studio, another displayed the baseball sequence, while another one had the prom scene, etc.

Based On A True Story This script is based on a true account from ATK reader Karen, who once narrated she was on a flight, and then, when she was coming from the back of the plane, she stopped in partial shock to see that majority of the monitors in the business class level, which had mostly male passengers, were watching Twilight.

Dedicated to ATK Reader Will and Other Male Twilighters This post is dedicated to Will and all the male Twilighters out there. I thought this Twilighter inspired script was timely with Will’s comment.

Cheers for all the nice comments and the link. Robyn, I think I must be suffering from a slight case of ORD after reading that. [I've] only seen the movie a couple of months ago, but, ever since then I’ve been hooked on everything Twilight and Robsten related because it seems so genuine. I’ve also started to dislike Jacob a wee bit, especially, since the trailers came out. So sorry to all the Team Jacob fans. P.S. Loving the site.

thanks for the shout out lorna im touched, the way i see it is that underneath all the macho stuff that guys do we like a good love story as much as the next person but admitting it comes with abit of ridicule especially from other guys, thats most likely why guys dont admit it but im sure theres thousands of closet twilght fans out there just to scared to say.
