A Twilight Kiss

A Fictitious Entry that Chronicles the Thirst of Robert Pattinson for Kristen Stewart

For the La Boîte à Questions show in Paris, Kristen and I were herded into a small white room to answer some questions that were going to be flashed on the monitor.

As soon as the door closed in our faux private space, I noted how our momentary separation from the outside world immediately set Kristen at ease, and I couldn’t help smiling at her relaxed stance, encouraging her to be the playful Kristen, a facet that I adored.

I was amused at how she can be so much like her alter ego Bella at times, specifically, having a strong dislike for being the center of attention. The constant round of events for the press and Twilight fans during our short European jaunt through London, Munich and Paris has caused her to be visibly uncomfortable.

I knew what a wretch I was to delight in her discomfort, but I couldn’t help myself, because, she would invariably turn to the most familiar person who also happened to be physically closest at the time — moi.

As Kristen squirmed and wrung her hands onstage in Munich Germany, she repeatedly whispered inane things to me in order to take her mind off the screaming throngs of female fans. I would bend my head attentively towards her as she murmured in an undertone, suffering the exquisite strokes of her warm vibrating voice in my ear.

I also gloried in my towering height, for despite her high heels, there was still a considerable span of inches difference between us, a charming detail that made me hover protectively, ready to assist her in any way.

During a signing event in Paris, I felt sorry for her as she had to listen attentively to the spelling of the unfamiliar French names, and then, dutifully writing it down on the Twilight posters. I recognized the tell tale signs of her aversion for feeling like a child who must be instructed in the simplest of tasks.

My rudimentary knowledge of French put me in good stead, and I idiotically preened a little bit in my childlike acquaintance with the language of love.

Indeed, I would have cheerfully turned into a veritable fountain of French endearments if she had allowed me to breathe them into her ear, and to sigh them as I ran my lips over her soft jaw before claiming her pink lips.

Breaking out of my sensual reverie, I read aloud the first query presented by La Boîte à Questions, “What is it that you can’t bear about the person next to you?”

My breath stopped in my throat as Kristen bent towards my shoulder to take a sniff, and then, disdainfully answered, “His smell.”

Looking directly into her eyes, I gave her a knowing smile at the blatant lie. She blushed a little bit and gave a small laugh as she turned her head away to avoid meeting my gaze.

I punched the La Boîte à Questions button, a bit more forcefully than what was warranted, to signal that we were ready for the next question, since even irritating details such as untruths from her lips only made me want to crush her in my arms and kiss her until she’s breathless.

Ahh, a familiar question that I’ve already answered in the affirmative in several interviews, a question that I know would cause her to be jumpy and jittery. I pressed on the pass button to the question immediately after reading it out loud, “Could you fall for each other in real life?”

Kristen giggled her appreciation for my avoidance.

But, the last question was amusing and intriguing at the same time, I just knew I had to tease her by trying to worm an answer out of her, “Kristen, who’s the sexiest — Zac Efron or Robert?”

As she murmured, “Uhmmm…” I laughed unmercifully at the tight spot she was in. On one hand, I would crow if she chose me, but, it would be another outright lie if she mentioned the High School Musical heartthrob’s name. I knew her wild and independent streak would be unenthusiastic with the clean cut boy next door type.

Kristen tried to wriggle her way out of the sticky situation. She chortled and made the “Owww” sound that the pass button made, but, I refused to bear down on the round knob, so she reached over and pressed it on her own, while I hinted genially, “I’m waiting…”

And, as we both released our amusement for the silly situation, I joyously noted the pink in her cheeks and the glow in her eyes.

I just love seeing her happy.
