Taylor Lautner Receives Nick Blimp for Fave Book in the Kids Choice Awards

Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock and Hugh Jackman, after “[receiving] the night’s best [slime] dousing,” announced that the winner of the Favorite Book award in the 2009 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards is the Twilight series.

Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the Twilight saga, went onstage to receive it on behalf of Twilight author Stephenie Meyer.

Thank you, guys. Thank you very much. This is awesome. The Twilight series — Stephenie Meyer, the author, she really [wishes] she could be here right now, but, she wanted [me] to tell you guys ‘Thank you’ for all your support. And, thank you Kids Choice for recognizing this amazing book. We’re currently filming New Moon right now, having a lot of fun, so, I can tell you first hand you guys are gonna love it. We’ll see you in theaters in November! All right! Thank you!

(Update 29 March 2009 11:22pm: Pattinson Online reports, “[If] you are wondering where Rob was last night when he didn’t attend the Kids’ Choice Awards, you will be as happy to hear as we were that he was enjoying some great music in Vancouver at some of the weekend long Juno Awards events.” FYI. The Juno Awards are the Grammys equivalent in Canada.)

    Wow… I’m kinda surprised he didn’t say something like …. “Unfortunately… Robert Pattinson cannot make it tonight…” I really do think now that something went down. It was really a last minute bailout. hmmmmmm Let the speculation begin.
