SEQ 01. INT. Late Afternoon. Coast to Coast Talent Group Office in LA. Michael Angarano is in a meeting with his talent agent and publicist.

MICHAEL ANGARANO
(frustrated) I understand, Meredith, but, are you sure there isn’t any other way?

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
I’m really sorry, Mikey, but, we went through several scenarios before we presented our recommendation to you.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
I hate to point it out to you, Mike, but, right now, having Kristen as your girlfriend is not exactly good for your career.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
Honestly, Mikey, I just f—ing hate the fact that people seem to have forgotten, or, do not know that you’re an actor. And you’ve been acting ever since you were a kid, for crying out loud!

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
That’s why our recommendation is Project Johnny Appleseed. We need to disassociate you from Kristen and plant some new information about you.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
(angrily) They’re bashing you on the net, did you know that? Calling you by some weird names like Herb or Oregano. Just plain being mean. And, all because they want Kristen to end up with Rob, for goodness sake!

MICHAEL ANGARANO
I know. Kristen and I just laugh about it.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
Well, it’s definitely no laughing matter now. Some producers and publicity people have actually brought up the problem with me! You might not get some roles because of the negative publicity from this! The films that you’re up for basically have the same market as Twilight’s.

MICHAEL ANGARANO
No f—ing way! That’s just plain ridiculous!

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
We know it’s going to be hard, but, we have to think of ways so that you’re hardly ever seen or photographed with Kristen. Seeing the two of you together seems to be fanning the hate from the fans.

MICHAEL ANGARANO
Are you serious?!? (publicist and agent remain silent) But Kristen and I have always done everything together!

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
By always being with Kristen, you’re coming off as some control freak who keeps a short leash on his girlfriend. How about letting Kristen’s brother, Taylor, go with her to Tokyo Japan for the Twilight premiere? And, maybe, she can do Sundance by herself this time around?

MICHAEL ANGARANO
F—! I always look forward to going to Sundance every year! And, Adventureland is going to have a premiere there! I want to be present for Kristen!

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
How about a compromise? You can go to the Adventureland LA premiere.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
But, you can’t arrive together. Let Kristen go ahead on the red carpet, and then you come out, like, twenty minutes after, greet your fans and then go straight inside the theater.

MICHAEL ANGARANO
(tersely) Fine.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
And, when you’re riding together, make sure to stay at the back. Let somebody else sit beside Kristen, like, Taylor, for example. Let him come out, fend off the paps a little bit, then Kristen alights. Time it in such a way that when you do go out, the cameras are focused on Kristen. And, when you visit her in Vancouver, let her go to the set with Nikki in the morning, and then just follow an hour or two later. Travel separately. Try not to let the paps catch you.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
In interviews, if the the press asks directly, then don’t lie. Still say you and Kristen are together, but, don’t volunteer the information either. If it’s the paps asking, just be quiet. And, don’t get riled by them either. Expect it already.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
We’re just avoiding the two of you being seen together in public, that’s all. I’m sure you and Kristen can still manage to get together privately.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S AGENT
I’m really sorry, Mikey, but, we have to do this. We have to remind people that you’re not just Kristen Stewart’s long-time beau or boyfriend. You’re a well-respected actor in your own right, and, let’s not let people forget it this time. (gently) Don’t worry, Mikey, Kristen loves you. She’ll understand. And we’ll set up a meeting with her people to explain the situation.

MICHAEL ANGARANO’S PUBLICIST
Yes, please don’t worry, this will all blow over eventually. I mean, look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. That was a wonderful piece of publicity work. They started off not being able to be photographed side by side and now it’s acceptable for them to be seen together. And with kids even. We just need to let the general public cool down, and then, slowly, ease the idea of the two of you being together.

MICHAEL ANGARANO
Okay. (dejectedly) Hope it happens soon…

It’s gonna be okay. Project Johnny Appleseed will take care of it…

Spinning the Michael Angarano Issues on Kristen Stewart Spinning refers to the industry practice of “heavily biased portrayal in one’s own favor of an event or situation,” or the way by which one can put a subject in a more favorable light after some negative publicity.

Michael’s recent absences from most of Kristen’s public appearances, which is so unlike his past behavior, may be the result of some spinning decisions by his management team.

If one looks at Michael’s resume, one can easily discern that he has been working as an actor from a very young age for both TV and film, with the indie film industry being his main focus, like Kristen Stewart pre-Twilight.

Unfortunately, since the success of Twilight, Michael Angarano has been receiving a lot of negative publicity since he has been assigned the villainous role of being the impediment to the fruition of the Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart union.

It may be remembered that in the very early stages of the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie pairing, the two made very sure that they always appeared in events in separate cars and did not stand beside each other on the red carpet to avoid being photographed in the same frame. This was at the height of the public’s outrage over the broken marriage of Brad Pitt with Jennifer Aniston, when he decided to divorce Jennifer so that he could be with Angelina Jolie.

(go to 0:13) This vid was taken after the Adventureland premiere in the early morning of 17 Match 2009, which implies that Kristen was telling the truth in her E! interview that she and Michael are still together.
