Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White One thing for sure, Snow White is very popular these days. Even before any film version will be released, Snow White will be regularly seen in an ABC series entitled Once Upon A Time. HBO’s Big Love star Ginnifer Goodwin stars as a more mature Snow White, who has forgotten who she is and is trapped in a present-day town called Storybrooke with other fairy tale characters, while the Evil Queen plots to make happy endings disappear forever. It will premiere on ABC on 23 October 2011.

Lily Collins as Snow White The Snow White of Tarsem Singh is more lighthearted and is described as “a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance, and betrayal.” It’s opening has now been moved from June to March 2012.

Kristen Stewart as Snow White Snow White and the Huntsman will go to the other end of the spectrum and will film a more raw and powerful version of the fairy tale, with Snow White joining the fray as a warrior. Snow White and the Huntsman will open on June 2012.

Disney with The Order of the Seven Disney has been trying to reinvent Snow White since 2002, with a martial arts spin wherein Snow White, while running away from the Evil Queen, meets seven warriors, each with his own unique fighting style. Screenrant has some excellent points regarding the film project, which is slated to shoot in 2012 (presumably for a 2013 release).

On the surface, Order of the Seven bears more than a passing resemblance to Universal’s upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman. Both are being fashioned as unique action-oriented fantasy adventures that retain elements of the original Brothers Grimm​ story – not to mention, each project will mark the feature-length directorial debut of a helmer who previously worked in the area of commercials, and is being scripted by a handful of noteworthy writers. In Order of the Seven‘s case, Oscar-winner Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) penned the most recent draft.
