Snow White and the Huntsman Is A Trilogy

Well, this is a shocker. First, I was surprised that Snow White and the Huntsman has dwarfs. Now, producer Joe Roth reveals that Snow White and the Huntsman is the first film of a trilogy.
Will they wait to see if the first film’s receipts are enough, then greenlight a back to back shoot of the second and third parts? Are they planning to go against the Hunger Games trilogy, which also tells of how a young girl fights the establishment and becomes the beacon of a revolution?
No wonder it took some time for Kristen Stewart to announce that she signed on the dotted line. This project has the potential of tying up her schedule for two to three years.
