Robert Pattinson Tested for Bankability with Remember Me

Robert Pattinson has bravely put himself right in the middle of Bankability Street with the film Remember Me as a road test whether he can open a movie on the basis of his name alone.
Only a very few Hollywood names are credited with being able to get away with such a feat, and, the young actor is definitely taking a risk with this venture.
Although Summit Entertainment has stacked the odds in the favor of Robert Pattinson with Emmy Award nominee director Allen Coulter in the driver’s seat and award winning scriptwriter Jenny Lumet along for the ride, Remember Me is one movie that, if you truly wish to show your support for The Twilight Saga star, you must watch repeatedly, i.e. even if you hate it, you will still watch it again and again, unless you want to see Robert Pattinson splattered like some hapless roadkill.
And, you MUST watch Remember Me on the first weekend, because the gross earnings are trumpeted on the Monday right after the make or break opening weekend, and the press declares whether a new BANKABLE star has been born.
Remember Me is set to open on February 2010.

I think road kill is a bit harsh but true that Summit is looking at how to package their golden boy without Kristen.
There have been some very very successful acting couples in the past that have been box office draw that also been successful by as single acts. As all things the hysteria about Rob and Kristen will fade out some as is natural but their acting abilities will continue to grow.
If they are smart with these opportunities Twilight has and will continue to give them for at least three years more…they can be established in that movie theatre elite which will give them the power over their own careers and lives.
I wish them happiness. I feel certain of the success.
