Robert Pattinson Takes the Smell Test from Twilight Co-Stars

The Smell Test When the MUCH reporter teases Robert Pattinson in a late 2008 interview for being “a dirty boy” for wearing the same clothes for several days, he immediately agrees, “Very dirty.”
Rachelle Lefevre takes the smell test and sniffs Rob. She pronounces him, “A little musty, like a couple of days worth, but nothing hard core.” (go to 0:43)
Of course, Kristen Stewart has taken the smell test herself during the La Boite Questions in Paris France where she declared that what she can’t bear about Robert Pattinson is “his smell.”
Rob Doesn’t Know How to Use a Washing Machine In the famous Vanity Fair 2008 feature of the Twilight cast, Rob also admits to writer Cassandra Handley, “Truly, I wear the same thing every day. I don’t know how to use a washer machine.”

Rob Never Showers Furthermore, one of the New Moon crew members complains, “He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy.”
It must be remembered that Rob is from a cold and rainy country, where taking a bath everyday is really not the norm, so he’s just following old habits. I’m sure he does take a shower or a bath, but, probably puts a couple of days in between those bathroom rituals.
Therefore, the recent pronouncements of the New Moon crew members that Rob “stinks” or “reeks” are not exactly surprising, but, may be highly exaggerated.

i didn’t trust any comments from the insider movie crew about him being stink or whatever.
just reminder, laura culpepper (MTV blogger) admitted that rob was smelled like Axe and kristen often said in e-online interview that his hair smelled great. i believe he got clean & fresh when doing the movie, as a professional actor.
about his background living, i agree with you that for people in europe (mostly) it’s not a mandatory to take a bath twice a day because of the cold weather & they rarely change clothes everyday. i’ve already experienced it since i live in europe now.

I have relatives from Germany…They do not shower everyday, which from an “American” perspective is weird. I think it has to do with a cultural european aspect. I think skipping one day isn’t bad but several days can get a bit scary. I’ve skipped a day before but that was when I worked from my home and was never around people. But when it got to the second day. You start getting that “icky” feeling and us asian girls know how we can get that greasy hair feel. Rob has mentioned before that the secret to his hair is not washing it and the natural oils helps style it. This is quite true according to hair stylists but there has to be a cut off time.
So quite frankly, I’m a bit perturbed that Rob doesn’t cleanse frequently from his own admissions and from the observation of others. Atleast most of us don’t have to worry about it because we admire him from afar. If I do get to meet him in person or even be that close enough to smell him **wishes**. I think I’ll hold my breath and not complain about it.

It would have been a lot credible if the person who revealed this bit would have revealed who he was.
If anything, its more publicity for Rob.

Yeah I guess being an American, it is weird not to shower everyday. I feel so yucky if I don’t shower for 1 day! But I understand where the thought is coming from. I’ve lived in Europe too and yeah it’s a little different. I still showered everyday when I was there though.
I would just hold my breath if I ever meet him, if it’s true that he “reeks.” Maybe I’ll offer to wash his clothes for him

EXCUSE ME But people from britain DO NOT SMELL! At least not all of them.
I am British and I DO NOT SMELL infact I shower every day and so does everyone else in my family and my friends. Also because it is a cold and rainy country peole take showers and baths to get warm. Forks is a rainy place and they look pretty clean to me.
Maybe you should come to Britain and smell people for yourself!

I believe in ‘doing what’s needed’.
If I shower in the morning and find myself sweatin or dirty two hours later (e.g. after painting the whole living room) I wouldn’t wait for the afternoon.
When I get sick, hardly move the bed, can’t touch the water whatsoever…I took wet towels.
When it’s raining all week, and cold and I didn’t sweat a milliliter… I change my clothes.
It’s more than just accusing someone’s dirty by not having shower.

Okay, im british and i do not smell, in fact i cant thinkn of anybody in particular who does smell really bad. Just because its rainy and cold here most of the time does not mean that the people here dont wash! Basically get your facts straight before you accuse the whole of Britain of not showering.

What a load of nonsense! The cheek! I am British (Scottish in fact) and yes it is cold and wet here almost all the time, more so Scotland than England etc. That doesn’t mean i don’t wash every day. I have shower every morning, without fail and in winter i shower in morning and have a bath in evening (to heat me up normally). IF Robert Pattinson doesnt shower (and its prob a load of rubbish) it certainly aint because he’s British and to say so is completely offensive. What an eejit!

Seriously people. I am British and i DO NOT smell. Whats with all you Americans thinking that we don’t wash? Well we do, everyday without fail. And i don’t think i no anyone that doesn’t change their clothes everyday. So please don’t come on here and claim we Brits smell. Thank you and goodbye.

vve brits DO NOT SMELL vve are ace im proud of being a brit coz vve have hot people like rob! so anyone vvho say vve smell.smell ur self instead! coz vve vvas everyday or 3 times a day for some people but it doesnt matter vvat people smell like its their personality tht counts (in robs case idc bout his persnal hes too fitt)

I am DEEPLY offended by some of the comments in this Article.. Not about Rob.. But about England ! !

Wtf.. I come from that country and i VERY RARLY go a day without washing.. and it goes the same for most people i know.. And im not posh or anything.. Being cold and rainy makes us wash more.. Because we like HOT baths or Showers!

You OBVIOUSLY haven’t lived their for long because most people i know shower EVERY day and Rarly wear the same clothes twice without washing!
