A Twilight Kiss

This piece of information is NOT confirmed by Robert Pattinson and Sam Bradley’s reps, but, by a Celebuzz source. However, I’m of the opinion that it’s probably real because the details are consistent with Rob’s character.

Robert Pattinson Stayed Backstage On 20 March 2009, the same night as the Twilight DVD release parties, Robert Pattinson allegedly attended the concert of his friend, Sam Bradley, in Vancouver.

The Celebuzz source reports, “[Rob] stayed with Sam backstage before the show and watched the concert from the wings.”

If Rob had even attempted to go out into the audience area, there would have been a great possibility that he would have overshadowed his close friend by his mere presence, so Rob knew he had to keep out of sight so that the spotlight can be totally on Sam Bradley.

Update 28 March 2009 AM: I changed the video below. Thanks to Pattinson Online for the heads up. The new video was taken during Sam Bradley’s Vancouver concert, where, inexplicably, he kept disappearing into the wings area. Maybe because Rob was there?

Robert Pattinson Did Not Sing Never Think A logical spot for Rob to have come out would have been an encore at the end of the concert when Sam Bradley could have sung their co-written work “Never Think.” However, the Celebuzz source says, “[Rob] wanted to be as low-key as possible. If he had really been out there, it would have caused a frenzy.”

In an earlier interview, Rob had talked about his London based mates, “All my friends are musicians in London. They’re very talented. My best friend wrote one of the songs on the soundtrack with another friend of mine, this guy Marcus Foster who did Bobby Long. I went to school with Marcus. He taught me how to play guitar and stuff. He’s an amazing writer and singer and I thought to help somebody out.”

Yup, helping out a friend instead of attending the furor of the Twilight DVD release parties on 20 March 2009 sounds exactly like something Rob would do. And, even though you missed him, Twilighters, I’m sure you understand and love him even more for it.

(Update 28 March 2009 PM: Sam Bradley has confirmed that Rob was in the wings, and “remained out-of-sight from the general public during the show, [but] his presence was certainly felt by Bradley.

“Every time I made a mistake, I kept looking over,” Bradley tells Celebuzz. “At one point I walked off-stage and just started laughing.” Bradley was playing the cover of “Man’s World” by James Brown, ran into some problems and left the stage to pick up his folder. He looked up at Pattinson hanging out in the stage wings, out-of-sight. “I just started laughing,” says Bradley. “And he was just smiling back.”)
