Robert Pattinson Snuffs Out Cigarette for Children
During a lull in the Remember Me shoot in New York City’s Central Park where Robert Pattinson is seated at the famous Alice in Wonderland character statues, he takes out his pack of cigarettes for a smoke.
Perhaps realizing belatedly that the child actors around him will be inhaling second hand cigarette smoke, Rob snuffs out the barely puffed cigarette on the head of the hare.

I don’t think you’re supposed to smoke in that area anyway. Lots of places here in the US have special areas where people can smoke. They can’t just smoke at any public place(that’s about it). Here in Louisville you can’t even smoke at restaurants and bars. They used to have designated areas but they got rid of it 2 yrs ago.
Anyway, that was sweet of him, the intent was there!

Somebody might have told him to snuff it. I’m not really sure, but, in general, I think smoking should be avoided when children are nearby. I’m just guessing that’s the reason he put out his cig. It can be a totally different reason though.

Oh I definitely I agree! Children especially should not be exposed to cigarette smoke. Maybe he’ll finally quit once he has a child.

I won’t write any spoilers – but just know that the smoking scene with his sister at Central Park is part of the movie script. Rob wasn’t just lighting up during a set break with children around.
