Aside from starring in The Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson also plays Spanish artist Salvador Dali in Little Ashes.

The most iconic work of Salvador Dali is entitled La persistencia de la memoria or The Persistence of Memory, which shows several “melting” watches, a painting so “widely recognized [that it] has become a reference point in popular culture.”

One of those iconic pop culture references is the use of the unforgettable melting watches as the basis for one of the episodes of The Simpsons, which shows the liquefying faces of Homer, Marge, Bart, and Maggie, with the exclusion of Lisa. (Come to think of it, Rob will have a great time being a Special Guest Star vocal talent in The Simpsons in an episode that can poke fun at his status as the Hottest Vampire in the World and the Twilight phenomenon.)

And now, for a sublime fusion of the famous works of Salvador Dali and scenes from Little Ashes…

That Simpson pic is hilarious!
I’m not really a fan of Salvador Dali. I find his paintings mildly disturbing, that’s just my 2 cents.
I think I like Rob better when he looks like his normal self, not with black hair and a moustache!
