Robert Pattinson Likely to be Tortured in Unbound Captives

Unbound Captives Synopsis Variety reports on a film that Rob “said yes [to] last fall [of 2008], before everything broke with ‘Twilight.’”
Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson will star in the period drama “Unbound Captives,” with Madeleine Stowe making her directorial debut from a script she wrote.”
[Rachel Weisz will play] a woman whose husband is killed and her two children kidnapped by a Comanche war party in 1859. She is rescued by a frontiersman, to be played by Jackman. Pattinson will play the son.
Reunited with Hugh Jackman Although they will probably have only a few sequences together, the Twilight star will be meeting again his Tokyo karaoke duet partner, Hugh Jackman, who has been quite vocal about his support for the young actor.
Rob might also reunite with some of the New Moon pack members since Unbound Captives will most likely require Native American actors to play the Comanches.
What We Might See If Rob is going to be the son of Rachel Weisz, then he probably has to hide the bulk developed from working out or lose some of the muscle so that he’ll look more vulnerable as a Comanche captive. And the other child will most likely be a younger girl so that the differences of how male and female prisoners are treated can be demonstrated.
And, if I remember my Louis L’Amour frontier books correctly, the Comanches are known for toying with their captives, so here is a list of possible scenes we will see Rob in.
Rob wounded and bound by his captors
Rob beaten harshly by a group of Indian braves
Rob looking tortured as his sister is raped
Rob feeling helpless as he comforts his sister
Rob forced to do inhumane tasks by his captors
Rob fighting not to lose hope from being released
Rob punished severely for trying to escape with his sibling
Rob transformed from a “boy” to a “man” because of his ordeal
I LIKEY – LIKEY!

Rob really is amazing at acting. It’s wonderful that Twilight has opened so many doors for him. I vow to see every movie he will star in. I’m excited for this one actually.

Naomi, what’s even more amazing is the fact that Rob got the job BEFORE Twilight. Of course, his presence in it, plus Hugh Jackman’s, who said yes only a couple of weeks ago, helped to greenlight the project.

The movie sounds like a real tear-jerker. Just like Last Of The Mohicans (which I love and own and still watch at least once a year, because that’s just how I roll).

Oh excellent, Unhinged! You mentioned Last of the Mohicans! Isn’t that the one Madeleine Stowe was in with Daniel Day Lewis? I’m hoping her experience there will help with her directorial debut.

Rob chooses different roles, and I like it. I think it will be a good movie, and yes, the first thing I thought too, the “Last Of The Mohicans”.

Cool! I can’t wait! I’ll watch every movie he’s in! If he’s gonna be beaten and tortured I’m sure I’ll cry buckets.
There’s some article on MTV that he might be in a remake of Dune…I have to search for that article unless of course you’ve heard of it and have it.

Yep, Last of the Mohicans was the movie Maddy starred with Daniel. Another movie shot heart-thick with sexual tension and tormented love. Not just for Maddy and Daniel, but also for Maddy’s character’s sister and and Daniel’s character’s brother.
I love me a good angsty love story.
