Robert Pattinson Hit by A Cab While Escaping Rabid Fans

Some of the teen girls were hysterical and Rob rushed across the road. As he did so, a taxi grazed him. The cabbie slammed on his brakes as soon as he realized what had happened.
It appeared as if the cab hit Rob in the hip. He stood there for a moment looking stunned. The bodyguard next to him checked if he was okay and then screamed at the fans: “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”
[Robert Pattinson] was not hurt.
To the Robert Pattinson New York Bodyguards & Security Detail I’m sorry, gentlemen, this incident is totally unacceptable. No crowd control, not keeping your client within safety’s reach, not making sure the path is secure for your client, and then throwing the blame on the fans is VERY unprofessional. The fans are out of control because you have not provided the necessary restrictions that they will be forced to follow and respect.
To Summit Entertainment Summit Entertainment, clearly, the security detail you have provided for your next bankable star is inadequate, to say the least. You have to renegotiate your security plans with the team and work it out with the local authorities of New York.

OMG!I’m glad Rob is ok. I feel terrible for him, poor Rob. He must have been been terrified. Those idiot bodyguards and fans make me so angry!And yes WTH is wrong with Summit that they can’t have proper protection for him? I mean they know how popular he is. Can you imagine if that taxi was not able to stop?

I think it is a little on the body guards, but more on the fans who were out of control! This is obnoxious…he was forced to run because these girls were out of control! I feel sorry for the guy.

If even five body guards can’t keep Rob Pattinson safe or from darting out into a traffic-heavy road, I’d say (unfortunately) the time has come for him to somehow limit his public excursions where the rabid get their chance at him.
Hopefully he realizes this fully now. I know he values his personal freedom to move about where ever, and it makes me sad and angry that people can’t or won’t control themselves and respect his space, but who’s going to take responsibility for his safety and peace of mind if not HIMSELF? It’s not just the body guard detail, although I agree with you that five men have been INCREDIBLY lax if Rob was allowed to dart out into the street, but the responsibility also lies with Rob Pattinson.
Time to start limiting easy public access, methinks. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.

wait a minute, the guy was probably just catching some air, you know, enjoying the silent moment, and then stupid obsessed fans came along and went so freakin histerical he almost got killed, and you’re blaming it on security? riiiiight! and it is so completely and totally ok from the maniacal fans to act out and go all bananas just because robert pattinson is walking on the street. yeah that’s normal.

Yes, willy. Unfortunately, it is a normal situation for any celebrity. It is up to security to control and handle the situation. Fans are civilians that must be considered in the security setup to prevent anyone from getting hurt as well.

i think fans should know the difference between ROB and EDWARD. Rob+Cab=HOSPITAL while Edward+Cab=AUTO SHOP. Ones real and fragile and the other one is fictitious and undead.

aahhh..can’t imagine if something terrible happens to my precious rob..he’s been my sunshine these days..i’m very grateful for that..hate hate hate summit, papz, bs tabloids and gossipsites, stalkers (can’t be categorized as true fans i guess), incompetent bodyguards, backstabbing peeps and any other bad bad people that harm rob out there….i hope rob stays strong…always pray for him…
