Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner Protect Kristen Stewart
A pattern is emerging during these Twilight cast excursions into the public eye. Although a lot may wish him out of the picture, I think the presence of Taylor Lautner can also be looked upon as a welcome one in the sense that he covers the side that’s left unprotected by Robert Pattinson, since the New Moon heartthrob cannot be everywhere all at once.
For example, by sandwiching Kristen Stewart between the two of them, the sometimes media shy Twilight heroine is relatively obscured when she’s in the middle of the pair, like at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards on 09 August 2009, where only the back of her ponytail is the only indicator of her presence in this photo.
The sandwich strategy might also come in very handy when dodging the paparazzi frenzy. Taylor Lautner received the brunt of camera flashbulb glare when the Eclipse trio exited the sushi bar after a cast dinner on 14 August 2009, and dashed into a cab, with Robert Pattinson shielding her from the other side. One can discern the presence of Kristen Stewart in this photo, for example, through a small sighting of her profile.

In these situations, I think Robert Pattinson will always lead the way because, with his height, he can assess the situation more clearly since his vision will be less impaired with the on the ground mass of people, and, with his bulk, he can easily shield Kristen Stewart behind him, while Taylor Lautner brings up the rear, just like when the Eclipse trio entered the premises of the Kings of Leon concert on 15 August 2009.

aww.. thats sweet. its like edward and jacob are protecting bella from the newborn vamps, and by that i mean the papz. hehehe. =)
well it is the start of filming the eclipse movie so why not portray it in real situations. right rob and taylor? practice makes perfect indeed. hehe.
just like how rob and kristen practice the very steamy kissing scenes in eclipse. good job guys! very professional of u to do that! *wink* hahaha.

Ooohhh… Taylor shielding KStew? That sounds so cute, in fact, it can be true, you know? With last news some pseudo-fans and papparazzi are gonna be over her, and as you said Lorna, Rob can’t be everywhere, so… maybe Taylor would be useful sometimes…
But, on the other hand, his presence gives no intimacy to our love duo, and turns him The Third Wheel

Great perspective as always Lorna! Taylor seems like a really nice, genuine kid and close friend. Between our desire to see Robsten alone in their happy bubble and the New Moon promotions, there’s been a lot of negative commentary directed towards him lately. Let’s not channel our Jacob frustrations on Taylor! For all we know, Kris and Rob are counting on him to help them cope with all the crazyness…

Yeah, in Twilight it was always Robsten but now it’s kind of annoying coz Taylor is always with them( No offense on Team Jacob i love Taylor and i know it’s not really always his choice to be between such an intense chemistry (like at comic-con))But it’s still cool that they both take care of Kris

I like taylor with kristen (as friends of course, robsten robsten)..but I realy like the friendship they have, it’s really sweet. Kristen seems very comfortable with them

I hate when people refer to Kristen as Bella, Robert as Edward, and Taylor as Jacob! they are NOT the characters they portray in the movies and are nothing like them in real life. Rob’s NOT Edward. No matter how much people may want it to be true, he’s just not. Kristen is NOTHING like Bella.so get over it. And yes, Taylor and Kristen do have a close friendship like Bella and Jacob but that does not make them their characters or mean Taylor is “trying to take Kristen from Robert” I’m just as big a twilight fan as the next person, that’s why I come to this site, but honestly, they are the actors that play the characters, not the characters. Kristen. Taylor. Rob.

I wish you had put your name, cause I totally agree with you someone says: I got it! I got it before the movie came out. But you have to understand that we’re fans with a lot of adolescence teenagers, some very immature. And also some very younger girls who can’t separate the two at their age. I’m a literature major and since Twilight is considered bbbaaaaaddd, popular, low end literature by almost everyone I know who has literary education, hindi ko ma-express ang aking kahibangan dahil hindi nila ako maintindihan. hmp! mga elitista! I’ve actually been in a class where there was a Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight discussion(debate). My professors hate Twilight that’s why I experience a lot of Twiligt bashing and these are from people who know things from Darna to Shakespeare. haaaayy, masaklap ang aking buhay… That’s why your posts make my day. ^_^

Perhaps since Kristen is often glaring at the paparazzi and prone to saying curses in interviews (Entertainment Weekly “I was like f***ing crying” she said they put Taylor one side since he is very PR savvy and always diplomatic and Rob on the other as he is sweet and charming. Kristen is a tough, inarticulate, rude, twitchy, odd and insecure train wreck in waiting. She was not always that way…I guess the 3 fans asking for her autograph were too much for her. Now that she says (and Rob too) that they are not together, has been seen with Jackson Rathbone at her birthday and recent Kings of Leon concert, and is not with Michael since before Italy, let’s see how many men are brave enough to line up for this tough troubled girls affections….Taylor rocks and Rob is sweet. Summit would replace her if feasible…they have not gotten any PR out of her and she is an embarrassment. She won’t be working much after all this settles down..she can’t be counted on due to her self-destructive imploding. Sorry are you K Stew fans…she blew it. @saphemyst: hi! naiintindihan kita. I too am surrounded by people who think the Twilight books are a disgrace to fiction, from my writer co-workers to friends who are working in print and media. I understand their contention that it’s not that well-written. But SM’s strength lies in the story she imagined and created. I was sucked in by the fact that I was a Kristen fan first. If not for her I might not have read the books too. But now I love what Meyer has done and I appreciate the story more. So thank God indeed for Twilight blogs such as ATK where we can freely indulge this not-so-welcomed-by-others obsession!

amen to that! Not only the world that [Stephenie Meyer] created, but her story telling, she can keep the reader glued and captivated up to the very end and then leave you wanting for more. The tension is always high up there.
And the characters are sooo alive. It’s as if you’re right there in Bella’s world, experiencing everything. There are very few, and I mean very few authors that can do that, as in books that you cannot put down, literally, (I even refused to take bathroom breaks when I was reading them) and it wasn’t just me, almost everyone I know experienced the same thing.
I think its arguable whether her narrative is good or bad (in this day and age, what does good narrative mean anyway?) But her books are powerful, no question to that.

you speak like you know Kristen Stewart. those are strong words. From my observation people shy against her because she’s different. She’s not the conventional “Oh my god, it’s like..” hollywood teen everyone is used and exposed to. She’s a real thing. She’s got strong personality and isn’t used to too much attention (that’s why she twitches, inarticulate etc..etc..if you ask me, she’s quite smart, reading from her printed and live interviews) and people cannot accept that because she’s not ‘likable’ (’likable’ as defined by the images we’ve seen from hollywood) She’s different, different! that’s why. and from the things we’ve seen, it looks like she doesn’t give a damn about what people say.
she’s not a celebrity, she’s an actress, an artist! Her movies say that. Summit knows that. (she delivers quality behind all these surface PR). to say thay she wouldn’t get much work after this, well I’ll bet she’d win an academy before she reaches 30. Sean Penn isn’t the most likable of actors, but look at him.

Lucky Kristen! That’s so nice of them to protect her..and I agree with most of my kababayan! Kristen is a great actress even at such young age. Some people can be really mean sometimes, they don’t even know her! I can’t believe people can be so judgmental based on her interviews and other stuff…give her a break! She’s tired and still has to do all those things (yeah it’s her job comes with the territory) but imagine yourself in her place. Yeah it’d be really cool and awesome to kiss BOTH Rob and Taylor but seriously you’d get tired of it after all these years. Leave her alone!

Well I just can’t understand how people can be so cruel, this is a book that talks all about love, about commitment, about understanding and appreciating the person that is willing to give her life (in bella’s case) and his soul (in Edward’s case)for the love the feel about each other, and I’m talking about the book not the actors, and people just turn that into some kind of public bs, also people talk only nasty things about the actors and the only thing they are doing is working they asses off to make people happy, they are traying to make the book alive, but well I think people will always find bad things out of beatiful things. Stop talking s—t about the actors and the books and concentrate in the main thing which is love, a book made with love and a movie made with love.
