Robert Pattinson and BFF Tom Sturridge Share Similar Answers to Interviews
ROBsessed shared a Tom Sturridge interview from Swiss 20 Minuten Online (translated from German). What made it particularly fascinating was how Rob and Tom echoed each other, albeit, in different interviews.
Swiss 20 : Tom, the soundtrack of “The Boat That Rocked” really rocks! Did the sixties-sound influence your taste in music?
Tom Sturridge : To me, the Rolling Stones, Otis Redding or Van Morrison have always been the greatest. I grew up with their music. No day passes without me listening to Van Morrison. I really admire the guys, because without them, the music of today wouldn’t be like it is.
Entertainment Weekly writes that Robert “Pattinson, who owns every album by his favorite musician, Van Morrison, hopes to record an album soon.”
Swiss 20 : Do you like the fashion style of the sixties as much as the music?
Tom Sturridge : Well, look at me (laughs)! I don’t care about fashion, I never go shopping. The shirt belongs to a friend, the t-shirt was made by my sister’s boyfriend, and the shoes, well, it’s obvious (points to his shabby Nikes).
Well, we know Rob also owns a pair of black very much in use Nikes, and, also doesn’t have an interest in fashion personally. He appeared for his Entertainment Weekly interview “wearing secondhand black jeans, what he assumes was once a rather large woman’s bowling shirt, and old Chinese slippers with his big toes sticking sadly out of large holes, folds his lanky six-foot frame into a tiny chair.”
Swiss 20 : Rob and Tom, a dream team for womankind. What happens when you rock a club together?
Tom Sturridge : We never rocked a club in our lives. We tend to go to bars and pubs. Like normal guys: two guys having a beer and talking nonsense.
Rob is still spotted frequently unwinding from work by going to a pub and downing a beer. YOU Mag quoted Rob bemoaning the fact that “There isn’t really like a pub thing in LA. It’s just a very different culture. I think people from LA don’t really understand how it’s such a normal thing to be in pubs from a very young age in London. People just think it’s so strange. Like drinking has such a stigma attached to it here. I have never really understood it. It seems so normal to me.”
Swiss 20 : Or how many loves did you have in your life?
Tom Sturridge : Two.
Swiss 20 : But you’ve surely been in love as well?
Tom Sturridge : Only once. When I find the love of my life, I’ll build us a house with a thatched roof.
And, in Glamour Spain, Rob eerily shares the same statistics.
Do you talk about love in [your journals]?
Actually, no. I’ve only been attracted to two women in my whole life.Do you remember the first time you loved someone?
Yes. It’s weird to enjoy your first love, especially if the relationship lasts a long time. Our relationship was really beautiful, but we didn’t have an obsessive love like in the movie. Her presence in my life made me very happy for three years.

Funny how they had the same answers. This picture looked like it’s inside a 7-eleven or some convenience store
It’s hard me to believe sometimes that Rob doesn’t care about fashion, especially because he used to be a model, it’s kind of ironic! I like the fact that he’s not shallow and hung up on clothes though. He practically wears rags when he’s out and about, but yet still manages to ooze sex appeal. Haha.

Hi Isabel. You’re right, this was taken inside a convenience store in London. I chose this pic because I liked the way Tom was “protective” of Rob when he obviously felt uncomfortable with the paps.

Two cuties who don’t give a fig about fashion, likes classic rock and would rather hang out in a pub (with each other, no less!) than in a club… This is the anti-metrosexual wave .. I love it!! No wonder they are such good friends.

well it only one thing meaning of that, they share inner most secret in there lifes, and its hard to break. What secret robert share with his friend, i wonder is it include kristen???well most brit are like i know i have a friend who is married also to a brit, they dont count woman in there lives the maximum they have is 2 the next woman is forever…
