Robert Pattinson Admits to Thinking Whether He Is In Love Or Not

In an interview with the The Hollywood Reporter during his stay in Cannes for the famous film festival, Robert Pattinson inadvertently admits something on the subject of love while talking about his next project Remember Me
Pattinson said “Remember Me” is very difficult to describe but said it is very much about him and, after reading the script last summer, felt a connection with it. The main protagonist is a 23-year-old man who spends six weeks after meeting someone working out if he is in love or not.
In his Scott Huver interview with FANDANGO, Robert Pattinson reveals that he has inputs on the Remember Me script.
“I was in New York working on rewrites the other day with Jenny [Lumet, screenwriter of Rachel Getting Married].”
Rob, given the synopsis of “a pair of star-crossed lovers who meet and fall in love while struggling to deal with family tragedies that threaten their relationship,” I was really puzzled why you were going to do this film at all. But now, I can understand why you want to.
Uhm… Dare I make a guess that you are drawn to this film, because, at some point, you were also working out in real life whether you are in love with Kristen Stewart or not? And, you could easily contribute on the rewrites because of your personal experiences on the subject? LOL

You’re spot on Lorna! Pretty much like the story is their (Robsten) love story. Dang! Robert, you’re so romantic man! Remember Me is intended for Valentines release in 2010. I wonder how he and Kristen would feel while watching this movie? Wink…wink…:-)

Well if you all remember….he was nuts in love with Kristen and wanted to marry her and then everything fell about and he had to save himself in the press by making it a joke and Kristen had to say stuff about how he really got into his part and that it was 90 movie love and 10 percent something else….he was forced into this reversal. Now things are moving forward with R and K and now what is there to think but what is real. I think he knows now what is real but there was several months he did not and that is where he can write experience stuff for this new film.

I agree with CF Rob has said on several past interviews that when filming Twilight he wasn’t even sure if he was acting- I believe his feelings for KS were real (at least to him at the time). He repeats this idea in an interview at the Cannes film fest. stating “I don’t really understand acting as acting. I’m definitely not one of those people who can just look scared when they’re told to by a director”
I think on screen we saw his feelings for KS but life happened after filming (which includes the press exposure) and he realized that those feelings weren’t so real afterall (especially for KS) which would make sense as why he connected so much with the Remember Me script… he basically admits that he’s playing himself, rewrites were done to include the same mannerisms and influcations as Rob’s. He goes on to say this is very theraputic for him.
I don’t know about you but I’m really curious about this movie now…..
but maybe that was the whole point and really it has NOTHING to do with his own experiences with KS and the movie makers are banking on us thinking more of this than there is to peak our curiosity in order to go see it…well which ever- it worked on me, I’m can’t wait to see it.

Yes I go along with much of this but I meant…he was being told what to think after he did fall in love…he is not so shallow to fall “in love” and out at the drop of a hat. He fell in love and that is that. Now what happened after that was press a silly cover up of his feeling. It was if he was not suppose to love her. There was this split between him–the details we all know. But when his head is cleared he loves her and that is that. What goes from there? Kristen I think fell for him too. But the complications of which again we all know. But now that she is “growing up” basicly” her words used for Bella….they appear to move the same direction together. Did all note that he felt an extraordinary actress was needed for his co star in this new film…Remember. I would bet he meant Kristen.

I totally didn’t mean he “fell out of love” but more that there was a time when he was trying to make sense of what he was feeling and what was happening, like he was too close to it all to understand it. Yes, he loved her…but I’m suggesting that he began to question it- the flirting, the connection, the chemistry… I can picture him asking himself, was she just acting?, “getting into the role?”
I agree that KS had/has feelings for Rob as well but for her it’s partially denial- like Bella for Jabob, but also it’s too complicated- staying with MA is easier, safe (and yes, she’s young- sidenote: I can wait for her to realize and act on her feelings for Rob)
I think Nikki helped KS sort out all of her own mixed up feelings. that’s how they got so close (we all know NR and MA are tight, of course she’s in his corner) also I think she was the buffer or the one who, for lack of a better word, explained it to Rob (of course, in a nice way) which again explains why they spent tons of time together before starting the new moon shoot-(between NR and RP) things had to be understood and “cool” before shooting/spending time together again because this time around they knew they are being watched which means it will be different- no flirting etc…
(Ashley Green sort of implied that Rob was sad before about KS but that he’s over it)
I read in a different interview they did in response to a question about all the hype and its impact on filming new moon, she says she hopes the process will be the same and he says something like I don’t think that’s possible, sorry.

“I would bet he meant Kristen.” CF, absolutely agree. If it is about real-life experiences, I think he loved/still loves KS, but she had/still has a boyfriend, so the situation is really complicated.
Do you remember the pictures and videos about filming Twilight? And after the promotions of Twilight? They were together, they smiled, they looked happy. Then New Moon shoot was beginnig, and they didn’t hang out together, Kristen was always with Nikki, Rob was with friends or alone. And they looked so sad, and I didn’t understand what happened.
But now they are hanging out again, and it’s good. And looking at the SB concert pics, New Moon party pics and Rob’s birthday pics – Kristen with RP’s parents – so I think, Rob was talking about their story.
OK. Maybe I am wrong.

Slightly off topic here but I found it really interesting in this interview – actually I was cracking up laughing when Rob said this -
THR: Nothing to ground you?
Pattinson: I don’t even remember where I left my car (in Los Angeles). It’s probably been towed away by now. that’s my only immovable possession and now I don’t know where it is! (Laughs.) It was important to me because it was the first car I ever bought. Made me feel like a man, buying a car.
Looks to me like it was a subtle dig at Nikki Reed for her pics of carrying boxes to and from [a black BMW] in LA while Rob was in vancouver? (pics were at http://www.celebrity-gossip.net) What do you think?

I think you are right Vic about the meeting the parents thing. She is seen happier that a glow-beam with R and you never never see that man light up other than in her company. I just hope they can weather the storm of fame and get good roles. R is getting good stuff. K should to and get out of the indie stuff.

I don’t think he implies anything about Kristen,we all here want them together but sometimes i think we’re exaggerating a bit.I doubt he’s in love with Kristen anymore,and who can blame him.Sometimes i think that all these intimate moments were carefully planned by Summit in order to promote the film,which is a really depressing thought for us,the Robsten fans.I’ve never loved a couple so much,not even when i was a teenager,i’m 23 for God’s shake and my friends laugh at me,maybe they’re right,maybe i need a life hahaha.Only u can feel me.Sorry for this breakdown Lorna but sometimes i don’t know what to believe about these two

@CF : I agreed with you, i hope they survived this craziness (fame) and moved on to great and better roles. Both of them deserved it. I think both are pretty talented at this young age. They will get even better. Though I do wish they smoke less and less drinking too. Not good for health and mind (to think clear).
I think I am becoming a Kristen fan, as rob already have a lot of girl fans behind him, Kristen needs more support from us. And I am too old to be idolising anyone, or crazy in love with a young thing like robert. LOL. But he is growing on me, he is getting better looking to me. I think Kristen has a very versatile look, and i love her skin. That’s why I want her to stop smoking as smoking will dull her skin, now it’s fine, since she is still young, but youth isn’t forever, it passes pretty fast.
And I do wish they are in love with each other, I admit I’m more of a robsten fan, and not a fan of robert or a fan of Kristen. But as a whole, they appears to me alot.
robsten won’t hurt NEW MOON, infact, it will make it even better.
Are there more robsten fans than crazy girl fans of robert???
