Robert Pattinson Abs — Real or Fake

ATwilightKiss reader catheline1927 posed an interesting question, which, I believe, is being contested in other sites as well.
I have a question, do you think his abs are fake?
I’m not bashing rob or something.just wanna know your opinion. BTW, he looks so hot.
catheline1927, although I cannot guarantee Rob’s abs are not fake, let me share some thoughts:
Highlighting the Musculature with Makeup Undoubtedly, the musculature of Robert Pattinson has been highlighted with makeup by adding shadows under his ab and chest muscles, as well as his pelvic bones, to define them for the camera.
And, although a little spraying of liquid body paint or airbrushing may also have been employed, as suggested by ATwilightKiss reader Razor, I think the canvas, or Rob’s body, already had the necessary shapes. The makeup or airbrushing only served to make the existing muscles distinct.
Consistency of Photos If you peruse the images from different sites, which feature different angles of the same scene, please note that the pictures from different photo sources are consistent, i.e., if the abs are fake, all the photographers present in Montepulciano during the New Moon shoot should have agreed to manip the abs before they were sold to the media outlets.
Fake Rather Than Real I think the paps would rather prove a set of fake abs than real ones, like the way they would play up cellulite in the thighs of actresses, because “negative” news would sell more magazines and encourage site visits.
For example, a side and front view comparison of Robert Pattinson can prove that his abs are fake by showing the front view as looking really fantastic and then the side view as bloated. Well, that certainly cannot be done here.

A Comparison of Physique By late February 2009 after the 2009 Oscars and the Twilight premiere in Tokyo Japan, Robert Pattinson arrived in Vancouver with a slim physique.
By the time New Moon started shooting in early April 2009, Rob’s physique has already changed. Please note the width of his shoulders. Note, in particular, his trapezius muscle by the sides of his neck. They are well developed, indicating a well-rounded workout.
(By the way, congratulations to the personal trainer of Robert Pattinson! You must be very pleased with his body’s speedy response to your training program.)
Therefore, my conclusion is that there is a very high probability that the abs of Robert Pattinson are genuine and of the real kind.
And, on a much lighter note, may I gloat and say that I have been pointing out his new set of muscles since April 2009, because I wanted chest exposure from Robert Pattinson in New Moon during the Volterra scenes. Well, I got that and much more!!!

They obviously used make up, but airbrushing is not the only thing needed to look that good. I mean… He looks more toned, and a fat man trying to use make up wont look like that… seriously…. His abs are not fake, but anyway they are a little airbrushed.

BOTH! He has a toned body and the artist stuff is done to show up when they put the special effects so he beams like a sunbeam. Otherwise the guy is not fake hallalulu. That is what the grey dots are for too…make him shine in the fix machine….that is why his lips are pale all that gets pretty and shine-y. PS no amount of paint is going to make you look good…we girls should know that….

Does it matter?!?
I think what counts most is he is portraying Edward who happens to have a hot firm and hard body … i see no problem if it’s airbrushed .. part of the job ..

These abs are not fake. Maybe used some make-up, but not fake.

The abs and the V muscle (or money maker as it is refered to)-I’d bet all my cash is airbrushed on. The coloring and the shadowing gives it away. I’m sure you won’t be able to tell in the actual movie – but nope, I believe Rob is very lean and thin, but not muscular.

I THINK the abs aren’t fake… Because basing from the front view and side view pics it doesn’t show any fakeness but I think they just highlighted some parts to show it off:) And you could see some whole body pics in the net that could justify that he isn’t fit.

Ok. May i clear this up for everyone?
They are real. He states in June 15’s People, that they are. Obviously he has makeup on, he did in the first movie. Every vampire did, in case you didn’t notice they were ghost white. For him they are accenting his chest like that to give it the ‘Marble’ appearance that his skin is supposed to resemble in the book series. So yes, he worked out, yes he has makeup on. Yeah he looks good. Case Closed

And yes, He is thin, but clearly in the pictures he still looks thin, just toned. Many celebrities are thin with toned chests. look at shia labeouf.
Again, it’s real, albeit with makeup on, but he really worked for the results.

hey you guys..HIS ABS ARE REAL..wake up people!!!…but i’m not saying that they didn’t use make up..yes they do,they put some make up on,on the edges of rob’s abs because his skin is so fare that you can’t even see the edges of his abs if you didn’t put a make up….so that is the real purpose of the make up to see his abs well..why do you guys think that Jacob’s(taylor lautner) abs don’t even have a make up?..of course they’ve also put a make up on his abs..that’s what showbiz is..by the way I LOVE ROBERT,I DO LOVE HIM,I WILL LOVE HIM, AND I’LL ALWAYS LOVE HIM!!!! no matter how fake his abs are!!

Please notice, that in some pics, normal ones, you see that Rob as a very thin waist, he has a skinny physique. But in those pics you can actually see that his shoulders, and his waist are wider! And that cannot be “manipulated” with makeup, of course, there may be some makeup to create a bigger impact in the movie, but there’s no way that that’s only makeup…

They are not real. He is thin, yes. But if the abs were real, the side shot would show waves but his stomach is just flat. There are also pics in which he’s not air-brushed and they clearly show, he has no showing six-pack at all. He is thin alright, but definitely NOT muscular.

But come on! I think his very thin body ids veeeery atractive!! Models, for example, are usally really skinny and not “ripped”…. I love rob’s skininess, really! it’s hot!!!

i think he’s got like 8 or 9 or something… edward’s albs are more lighter than jake’s whose got like a measley 6 pack. and i believe that the make up was airbrushed at least that’s what he said on the whole the vampire said the werewolf said campaign. (love you rob <3 soooooo muuuuuuuuuuuch!!!!!!!

The abs are real. Not all muscle has to be bulky – there is such a thing as having long lean muscle. I think they have used make-up to give his body the white marble look his character is meant to have and then shadowed the hollows to highlight the musculature. Personally I prefer the long lean toned look to the bulky body builder look favoured by Hollywood. At least Rob has a beautiful column of a neck and not one that disappears into his shoulders!!!
