Request for a Robert Pattinson — Kristen Stewart Duet in the New Moon Soundtrack
An Open Letter to Kristen Stewart and Summit Entertainment Requesting for a Duet of Kristen Stewart with Robert Pattinson
Dear Kristen,
Thank you very much for bringing integrity to the characterization of Bella. Your beautiful Bella has been one of the reasons that made watching the film such a joy.
Aside from Panic Room, I must confess that I am not familiar with your work, but, I’m trying to rectify that. I was simply stunned with your brilliance in Speak; and, I also found a video clip of an Into the Wild scene with you and Emile Hirsch singing in a concert.
Although you describe yourself as “not a singer,” I think you will find that a lot of people will disagree. I also understand that you co-wrote the song, which makes you even more than a singer.
You have also been quoted to say, “Music is one of the most emotionally expressive things you can do.”
So, please sing for Bella. As Stephenie Meyer herself wrote, Bella is “La Tua Cantante — her blood sings for [Edward].” Singing would be like giving a physical voice to your character’s “blood” and the life force that draws Edward to her.
Kristen, please sing a duet with Robert in the New Moon Soundtrack… And, maybe, a solo…
