No Robert Pattinson Audio Commentary in the Philippine Twilight DVD

Courtesy of Summit Entertainment
Some stupid idiot from Viva Video, the producer of the Twilight DVD Philippine edition, didn’t think it was necessary to include the audio commentary.
Although the audio commentary also features Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke and Kristen Stewart, it’s Rob’s self-deprecating humor that sets it apart, as evidenced by his tart and biting comments:
“Never trust a guy who plucks his eyebrows.”
“I have so many inexplicable facial expressions in this movie.”
“I had pecs for about two days. Everyone would hate me. Just look at me walking around with my little peacoat on. My little customized pea coat.”
“Sometimes I think I look like I’ve had facial reconstructive surgery. Like after burns.”
[Jokingly] “I hate people who cry around me. I’m not friends with them anymore. Especially girls. Cuz girls are crying all the time. It’s like, ‘Shut up.’ [Catherine Hardwicke points out that he just admitted that HE cried too] But I was crying over something legitimate. A movie.”
“I’d love to be able to fit in a box. Like one of those people who fit into small boxes. I’d love it.”
[Scene in the forest where Edward asks Bella, "What do we eat?"]: “Cheeseburgers.”
[Scene where Edward shows off his sparkly body]: “I’m sorry, Bella. I’m just like a sweaty guy.”
“I notice I have one of those butt chins. Like a nubbin.”
Guess I’ll be scouring the Internet for the audio commentary before they’re taken down by Summit Entertainment. When you can spare a moment from watching your COMPLETE Twilight DVD, do share a smidgen of sympathy…

I feel your disappointment, bad part is, the people from Viva has not given any explanation about the omission of the audio commentary and other 6 parts of the 7-part documentary of the making.

Hello Anonymous #1. Yes, there are DVDs with the audio commentary. I can say with certainty that the ones available in the US will have an audio commentary.
Tech Fatale, I’m not bothering to raise my hopes and expecting an explanation from Viva Video. I will not be satisfied with an explanation, actually.
What is the ideal course of action for Viva regarding its Philippine Twilight consumers?
1. Immediately stop the present selling of Twilight DVDs.
2. Reproduce the Twilight DVDs with audio commentaries, and all features applicable.
3. And then, once the DVDs with audio commentaries are produced, recall those already sold and replace them with the corrected DVDs (which should also be the ones sold in stores).
I honestly don’t think Viva will do these actions. But, I will be pleasantly shocked if they do.
Anonymous #2 *sigh*

@twilight
How I wish that Viva will do those things you just mentioned!
And, yes, the video quality… it sucks. It’s like watching a bootleg copy that is worth Php 750!
H—l! The bootleg copies got subtitles and audio commentary and got crisp and clearer images!

I totally agree! I bought the DVD BECAUSE of the commentary and imagine my surprise when it didn’t have said commentary…
I hope VIVA would do what you guys posted.
As it stands, I’d probably buy the one odyssey is selling… And this time, I’m going to make sure it has the commentary. If not, hello bootleg copies.

im disappointed too, we are too excited to buy our copy at odyssey, and then found out that our copy in the Pinas, no audio commentary of the 3 especially Rob…Can we ask someone from Viva, what was their reasons for this moronic decision? Can we request a copy with audio of the 3 too?

Everyone, I’m so sorry but I checked the box again and the audio commentaries are not listed. I think a lawyer or someone with a knowledge of consumer rights can say something more about it. Thank you.
