New Moon Soundtrack List Dissected by Letters to Twilight
Unintended Choice or UC of Letters To Twilight sent me an email regarding a LTT post on the New Moon Soundtrack list. Since I coast on the mainstream type of music, I took a peek at the dissection and analysis of LTT writer ‘the moon is down’ or Moon, and found my diagnosis of being an ignoramus on certain genres of music to be quite correct.
For example, Muse only became known to me because of Twilight and Stephenie Meyer. The same goes for Paramore. Death Cab for Cutie became familiar because MTV touted their single as part of the New Moon soundtrack.
So, statements from Moon like “Our music teachers loved [Black Rebel Motorcycle Club for a] long time and so we heard about them quite frequently,” or “I heart Sea Wolf and not just because he’s from LA and not because he rocked Sunset Junction a few years ago,” make me go ‘Who?’
I am still confused as to who is who, and, I’m going to wait for New Moon to come out and ‘hear’ if there’s any piece of music that’s going to strike me, like Muse did with Supermassive Black Hole in the Twilight baseball scene, and then I may or may not buy the soundtrack.
In the meantime, if you want music snippets and tidbits from the artists of the New Moon soundtrack, head on over to Letters To Twilight

I am excited to get to hear it before the movie comes out. I think that it will give me a feel of the emotion of the movie! I have to say that I am a bit upset that The Used is not on the soundrack. I heard they were in the movie…….. Kind of like I was upset when 15 Step didn’t make it to the Twilight soundtrack….. Guess you can’t have it all!!!!!

I’m kinda dissapointed ‘almost lover’ by AFineFrenzy doesn’t come up as one of New Moon OST. You should see the lyric, Lorna. It’s so New Moon. Listen and read the lyric, and you’ll fall in love w/ the song
