New Moon Opening on 18 November 2009 at Araneta Center Philippines

When I read the Araneta Center events guide calendar a couple of days ago, it listed The Twilight Saga : New Moon opening as 18 November 2009, which, incidentally, is a Wednesday, the day when most movies open here in the Philippines.
I requested the lady at the concierge booth if they could verify the information because the official opening is 20 November 2009. She kindly did so, and, Ms. Karen Verde of the Marketing Department confirmed the date on the printed brochure.
Under the assumption that it is indeed correct, and that the date applies not only to Araneta Center but to all the malls across Metro Manila, then The Twilight Saga : New Moon will open on 18 November 2009, which, forgive me for pointing it out, is 17 November 2009 in other parts of the world.

That is not fair. Movies there used to premiere late now it’s earlier than in other countries? How unfair! Ok stop ranting! Anyways, lucky you guys! But pls don’t comment on the movie until the rest us has seen it. Thanks.

In Australia is the 19th of november. However most cinemas have midnight screenings so we only have to wait for 1 minute into the 19th

OME ! I am so forcing my dad to allow me to go to Araneta Center with my friends. Haha. I was set to go on November 25 but now that it`s out on November 18! Oh gahd, it`s time to force them into another date!! Thanks so much ! I am ready explode ! It`s so awesome ! Just two days after the L.A. premiere and two days before the American Premiere ! I LOVE THE PHILIPPINES ! Lolll.

Dear Ms. Lorna,
This is GOOD NEWS! I was about to buy tickets at SM Cinema for it had been posted that NM will premiere on the 20th and not 25th (I was able to confirm this when I watched FAME about 2 weeks ago), but according to your post, it will be on the 18th! woot woot! Thanks again!

does anyone know how much an airplane ticket costs from kenya to the phillipines? are they allowing flights to the phillipines? why? because our cinemas have no plans of showcasing new moon and guess who’s anxious to watch it?

muthoni, really? New Moon might not be shown in Kenya?
That should put to rest any comment about the date of the New Moon opening in any country, like, “At least it’s going to be shown here. In other parts of the world it’s not being screened at all.”

Thanks twilight. I am so gambling right now to get some fare. and I’m pretty sure the marketing managers at our theaters are suing me for harassment. I mean, I’ve been bugging them since MAy and nothing!

I’ve been searching this, I’m not sure if they’ll be showing it on any other place on that date. I mean, major malls like Mall of Asia or SM’s in major cities… I haven’t confirmed it. It was soo sad when I went to one of the SM malls and asked when was New Moon showing, and they never even heard of the movie!
Please, if you have any information on any showings near Clark Air Base or Angeles, please let me know! Post it up! I would REALLY appreciate it.

i’ve called the araneta center to confirm these, and they told me that they’re going to show New Moon on Movember 20 just like the other cinemas, all the premiere would be on November 19.
