New Moon Director Chris Weitz Proves His Eye for Casting

As New Moon director Chris Weitz makes his final casting choices, one can immediately see that he has a discerning eye, and the ensemble of actors he has chosen are visually appealing and will merge together beautifully onscreen.

The wolf pack alone, will be an interesting mix of a lean and mean hot-head, a bespectacled nerd, a silent strong leader and the remaining two werewolves, who also happen to be best friends, are composed of hotties Jacob and Embry, played by Taylor Lautner and Kiowa Gordon.

With the Volturi vampires, I’m particularly pleased with Underworld’s Michael Sheen being cast as Aro and the massively talented Dakota Fanning as Jane.

New Moon is scheduled to open in US theaters on 20 November 2009, while Eclipse will be on 30 June 2010

Thanks to BAE for the heads up regarding the video.
