Entertainment Tonight reports a bizarre incident where scripts of New Moon and Remember Me were found in a trash container in St. Louis by salon owner Casey Ray.
Ray first considered taking the scripts to a tabloid, but instead decided to return them to Summit Entertainment, the studio shooting the films.
In return she was invited to attend the movies’ premieres, Ray’s attorney Al Watkins tells the AP.
“Summit doesn’t comment on any of the deals it does,” Summit spokesman Paul Pflug tells ET. “We thank Ms. Ray for doing the right thing.”
In the light of this incident, Rob, sweetie, would you please consider, just in case that’s a script you’ve got tucked in your pocket right there, to maybe bringing your black messenger bag so that confidential material won’t easily fall out or be stolen so easily?
Incidentally, this reminds me of the time when a copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was found in a field by a man before its official release date. As a result of the investigation, four arrests were made.

Only one (or two…) question.
1. The city when the scripts were found is the city when Anna Kendrick is shooting her new film. OK, I understand the “New Moon” script, Anna plays Jessica. But what about Memoirs? This is Rob’s new film, how the hell this script was found in St. Louis?
2. And that’s why the second question: Did Anna have an audition in “Memoirs”, too?
The story is really unbelievable.

Anna Kendrick is a Tony Award nominee actor who has been in the business since she was 10. She is now 23. I think she knows the value of keeping scripts safe. The presence of the script Remember Me may actually help prove she’s innocent if she’s not involved with the film.
Moreover, scripts are numbered and identified as to whom they are given to. I’m sure Summit Entertainment is launching a full scale investigation with this security breach and will find out eventually who is/are the culprit/s.
I’m sure the top honcho is breathing fire right now.

Lorna, I didn’t say Anna did it, I think she is innocent in this case and I agree with you. I only asked two questions without judging somebody. Because the story is simply weird.

Sorry, Vic01, I didn’t mean to give you the impression that I thought that you think Anna did it. Actually, I have no clue re the answers to your excellent questions, that’s why I didn’t answer you directly.
But, I did want to add some info about Anna that people might not know, plus the fact that scripts are usually numbered, so it’s only a matter of an elimination process before they find out who can’t produce the script that was given to them.

Salon Owner Finds New Moon Script, Turns in for Premiere Invite

A salon owner from St. Louis happened upon the scripts for New Moon and the upcoming Robert Pattinson film Memoirs in the trash bin outside the Chase Park Plaza Hotel. Instead of selling the scripts or leaking them, she contacted Summit–
Casey Ray found two scripts, one for the vampire sequel “New Moon” and one for a different movie titled “Memoirs.” She decided to return them to the studio making the films. In return, she was invited to attend the movies’ premieres, her lawyer said.
Watkins helped her return them to Los Angeles-based Summit Entertainment LLC, the studio making the movies. He said the studio invited Ray to premieres for the two films, and will certify the scripts as authentic after the movies are released.
A local news source, WLTX, reports that the scripts were left at the hotel by New Moon star Anna Kendrick–
The scripts had been left and ended up in a dumpster outside the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis by actress Anna Kendrick, who had been in St. Louis to shoot the George Clooney film, Up in the Air, according to Ray’s attorney, Albert S. Watkins.
Just goes to show, doing the right thing can pay off.

has anyone condsidered that the scripts in question were lost or tossed by a Summit employee….and I dont mean one of the actors….it could have been anyone at Summit. u I also find it quite odd that this person was digging thru a trash container. most people dont do that, even while just waiting for someone…..unless it was intentional……hmmmmm……..lots of questions???
