Robert is a name that has been bestowed on a lot of young boys since the Middle Ages, but, it seems that Robert Pattinson is one of the few who are fully encapsulating the meaning of his birth name.

The boy’s name Robert \r(o)-be-rt\ is pronounced RAH-bert. It is of Old German origin, and its meaning is “bright fame.” A favorite name for boys since the Middle Ages. Especially favored by the Scots due to 14th-century king Robert the Bruce and to poet Robert Burns.

The name Robert is derived from Germanic roots ‘hrod’ and ‘beraht’ or ‘berht’ meaning “fame” (also possible variation for the word flame) and “bright.” Dictionary.com stated it also means “bright with glory.”

    Lmao! I tried Kristen’s name and one of the sites I went to said the name Kristen means “beautiful, smart and ridiculously good in bed”. Lol lucky Rob! Anyways, it really means follower of Christ or annointed. Cool, huh? :D
