On a rare occasion, Rob was caught by the paps with sisters Lizzy and Victoria as they were leaving the Orso restaurant. Just like her younger brother, Lizzy Pattinson is also a singer and songwriter. (Please visit her MySpace page to listen to her music.)
When he was younger, Rob recounted that he would accommodate his sisters, Elizabeth and Victoria, whenever they wanted to “dress [him] up as a girl and introduce [him] as ‘Claudia’!”
However, all this came to a stop when he reached 12 years old when Rob “moved to a mixed school and then [he] became cool and discovered hair gel.”

Reuters reports that Mr. Richard Pattinson “[imports] luxury cars for a living,” while Mrs. Clare Pattinson “worked for a modeling agency.” (Go to 0:51 and find out how Rob’s parents surprised the Twilight heartthrob during a guest appearance in the Ellen show when they stayed in the audience area to watch their son.)
Entertainment Weekly interviewed Rob and he shares how his dad once shocked him with a revelation.
“My dad said to me the other day: “I really am an artistic person”. I was shocked as I never saw him as a creative. I think me and my sisters are living out that side of him as my sister is another creative person, she’s a songwriter.”
Rob also credits his father for pushing him into the world of acting.
“I never did acting at school. I was quite shy throughout my life. My dad and I were at a restaurant and noticed this group of pretty girls nearby and for some reason decided to ask where they had just been. They mentioned the local acting school and since then he had nagged me about attending. At one point he said he would pay me which is pretty strange – I don’t know what his intentions were, but I went.”
