How the Words Have Been Rendered Meaningless I truly believe that Rob was serious when he asked Kristen to marry him. However, to save face because of her denials, he has resorted to feigning forgetfulness and/or asserting that he asks a lot of girls to marry him.
His declarations, consequently, have given the impression that the question is shallow and meaningless for him, prompting on the spot proposals, such as his marriage proposal to the Access Hollywood reporter in the video above, although, to his credit, he did avoid saying the words by substituting, “Why not?” (go to 4:27)
I Asked Kristen Stewart to Marry Me Below is a rare video, done early on during the Twilight publicity juggernaut, wherein Rob actually admits to asking Kristen the question in the first public interview of the Twilight couple during the MTV Awards on June 2008, “Yeah, I mean I asked her to marry me like four times, but then it didn’t go anywhere. Hi Lorna, whenever I heard this song from Bryan Adam, Im Ready, its remind me of Kristen and Robert. This is where Kristen finally open up her feelings toward Robert. And I personally hope that both will be together. Maybe not now, but in future.
