Lyrics for Edward Cullen — The Approaching New Moon
Let this be the twilight of our love
Non-existent during the glorious
Rays of day
But frozen in that moment between
Sunset and dusk
Let twilight be the cocoon of our love
Wrapping us in a blanket when there’s
A dearth of warmth
Enveloping us in an illusion
Of eternity
Let twilight be our shield to the darkness
Bathing us in streaking silent showers
Of dim light
Lest we be imprisoned by the shackles
Of New Moon
Lorna Lopez aka ATwilightKiss Notes
Singer and Recipient The lyrics are meant for Edward Cullen before the birthday of Bella Swan, when he wants to believe that they can be together, yet he is plagued by his own doubts.
In the poem’s context, I have defined twilight as stasis — a condition of balance among various forces; motionlessness.
If there’s any Twilight inspired band out there interested in putting music to the lyrics, I’m very open to collaboration. Please contact me at llornalopez[at]gmail[dot]com

Thanks, Isabel! The picture was done by a talented Twilighter. Thank goodness for them because I don’t know how to manipulate images!
