Kristen Stewart Reduced to Tears by Joan Jett

A little drama ensued on The Runaways set during the latter part of June 2009 when legendary rocker Joan Jett pushed Kristen Stewart too hard and reduced the talented Twilight star to tears.
San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The actress allegedly broke down crying after Jett gave her a “hard time” during filming in a bid to improve her performance, prompting the rocker to apologize.
A source tells the New York Daily News, “Joan just wants Kristen to play an authentic version of herself, so she needled her a little bit too much. But she apologized when she realized how upset Kristen got.”
I’m sure this incident was helpful for both artists in sorting out personal boundaries regarding work and creative space.
Kristen Stewart met with the co-founder of The Runaways band on New Year of 2008 and described her impressions of Joan Jett to Parade.com
[Joan Jett is] so cool, one of the nicest, most soulful women I’ve ever met. And so many people love and admire her. It’s an immense responsibility to play a real person, one of the most intimidating things that I’ve ever had to confront. Her story is an incredibly triumphant, feminist story.
“The main thing that Joan talked about was just how much she cared about the days when she was a teenager and started singing with The Runaways. She told me that the band was what started her entire life.

i think joan is in every right to “needle” kristen. i’m sure, like kristen, joan wants this film to make a difference in the life of girls and women who watch her story. can you blame joan for trying to get her point of view across.

Did she text Rob after this alleged break down? Did she ask him to come comfort her? I can see it now………
Rob: You know I want to Kristen, I just can’t. We’re filming right now. I’m not even suppose to be on my cell. But for you I’d do anything.
Kristen: I know, I know. I wish you could come though. I’ve missed you a lot lately.
Rob: ……Ya, I know. I saw the pictures. You looked awful by the way.
Kristen: Stop trying to cheer me up Rob. It isn’t working. Although you actually being here probably would…….
Rob: Kristen, you know it would mean the world to me to come over there. I just can’t. I have a scene filming in thirty minutes.
Kristen: I know, I do too. Actually, I have awhile off because my break down, but just texting you cheered me up a little.
Rob: I miss you too, but you probably knew that.
Kristen: Yeah, I knew. I missed you a lot too.
Rob: I’m sorry.
Kristen: For what?
Rob: For everything. All the things that have happened to us.

OOOhh! that was cute @obvious…I have always had a thing for Robsten but IMO maybe kristen wouldnt want to share this with Rob.She is a stuborn and strong girl.She wouldnt wanna let him know that she felt weak and specially because Rob himself is an actor who cares for her and would hate to see her upset.And if kris feels the same way about him,even she wouldnt have him worried.But now it dosent matter,Rob probably got to know this by any means(since we all know!)and tried to comfort her because he cares.I might be wrong,just wanted share what I had in mind.:(

she is now becoming a young woman and matured, she can take criticism and make it worth it, i just hope it is worth it, and i dont think she will tell rob about it but rob will heard this from somebody else, knowing kristen she will face it by herself, she is independent, strong woman now…

i love joans music and i cant wait to see this movie either! but does joan have to be there all the time. i mean, yes i understand that she has to be there to make it a true and believable movie about the runaways but filming twilight stephenie wasnt always there… was she?? but anyways i do hope it made kristen stronger. but i love both of them and i cant wait to see this movie!

Kristen has said she was an easy crier, maybe it was just one of those days (we all have them). Whatever was said, I am sure Joan didn’t mean to make Kristen cry, but it would be hurtful to get chewed out by someone you really admire. But if Joan is being really horrible to our Kiki i trust we will form a steady line to k—k her leathered ***,right girls?

my POV to kristen has changed. what i see now, she isn’t as bad as previous past (i mean, like smoking as she walking,put a cold face) now what i see is she is more mature. i don’t know it’s just me or not. maybe rob bring some changes to her life? give some effects? hehehehe

i love kristen, she’s incredibly beautiful and talented, i understand joan is trying to help but sometimes being there and nagging her hinders not helps kristen. maybe she should just back off a bit x or as ovas has suggested il k—k her a** lol x

Why even make a story outa this. Joan can do whatever the hell she wants, she the producer of the movie, if kristen isn’t doing what shes supposed to be doing then its only right that joan gives her a nudge. Its probably cos she cant take criticism well.
I once liked Kristen before twilight, lost all respect for her while watching twilight and am on the way to hating her if she screws this movie up!
Joan Jett is a legend. Kristen, merely a starlet.
