From the New Moon press conference, E! Online reporter and writer Taryn Ryder tweeted the answer of Chris Weitz regarding why he wanted to direct the second installment of The Twilight Saga
Vampires don’t appeal to Chris. It’s the characters, especially Bella, plus the chance to work with cast, especially Kristen Stewart, that made him want to do New Moon

That is awesome. I’m a firm believer that Kristen Stewart has become one of those rare few (especially for a young actress) who is a director’s choice. She has such a strong work ethic and is so level-headed, I can totally see why so many people want to work with her.

Kristen is an awesome person and actress. She is one of the few actresses in Hollywood who is fascinating and great at the same time. And Rob is right; she is unique.

I absolutely adore her!! I didn’t had a girl-crush, not even celebrity until Kristen.( and i’m 100% straight LOL) Rob was perfectly right when he said she’s unique. I love them both so much and i hope them all the best in the world. I just can’t seriously even explain who much i love them <3
