Kristen Stewart Gravitates to Robert Pattinson at the 2009 San Diego Press Conference

Kristen Stewart tried. She tried very hard to distance herself from Robert Pattinson by taking the farthest seat at the panel table during the 23 July 2009 off site New Moon press conference, presumably held near the San Diego Comic Convention or Comic Con
However, to put it in Twilight terms, or, rather, Eclipse :
“I wish you could see how you move around him — you orient yourself around him without even thinking about it. When he moves, even a little bit, you adjust your position at the same time. Like magnets… or gravity.”

In the same way, whenever the New Moon leading lady was at a loss on how to proceed with answering a member of the press’ question, as is her tendency, Kristen Stewart leaned forward and looked to her left, where Robert Pattinson was seated on the opposite side, also leaning forward.
Poor Taylor Lautner, who was seated in between, wisely stayed upright and did not cross the path of strong magnetic energy between the two bodies, for in the face of such fierce and intense gravitational forces, who knows what might have happened?

I miss Kristen’s long brown hair! And I don’t like the gothic looking eye makeup
. She’s pretty, she doesn’t need that much make-up at all. Rob was there, why didn’t she fix herself?
Rob looks like he got big! Is it just me, OMG he’s a hunk! I know he had to work out but with the clothes on his shoulders look very broad

As for the overdone makeup-thats not her style. I am wondering if she was literally on a quick break from the Joan Jett movie she is making, and had to get right back to it?
There could not be any other reason to look like that-unless Rob secretly told her-”I like it”!

Your BL analysis is spot on my friend. KS was more indiscreet this time around. I mean, she hip-to-hip, toes pointing to Rob, leaning/cuddling on Rob’s armpit! hahaha

Jeez, people, get your head around it: Robsten isn’t real as much as we would like it to be. It’s obvious that Kristen hates all the attention and frustrating rumours and that’s why at the comic-con she was trying to avoid anything that might send out a new wave of crazy speculating.
Unlucky for her, some people will only see what they want to see [btw, Taylor is also to her left, where she is looking supposedly "to seek approval", and even if her inquiring looks were directed to Rob, it's only natural: they share a more mature and emotional perspective on the movie, while Taylor is still a kid hyped by the stunts and all "the cool things" he gets to experience].
Kristen is in a relationship that evidently means a lot to her and she’s probably tired of all the harm brought to it by paps and Robsten fanatics. Imagine your boyfriend reading every day how you and the hottest guy of the moment are doing it behind his back or at least burning with love for each other, while he is standing in between, being “played” and also hated by tons of people.. It’s just sick. And the fact that they haven’t broke up yet in spite of all that is just evidence of how strong their bond is. Sorry, but despite their chemistry, I don’t think we will see Robsten materialize anytime soon.
And to put things another way, think about Stephenie Meyer and Midnight Sun. She said she couldn’t finish it, because she needed “to feel alone with the book”, which she couldn’t anymore because all eyes were on her and it was too much pressure.
In my opinion, that’s exactly what is happening with Kristen and Rob. There’s a good chance that they might have actually fallen in love over time and became a couple, if people had left them alone and hadn’t been speculating madly ever since the beginning.. Instead, they are putting up defences and putting distance between them because they feel constantly attacked and ridiculed. You are unconsciously destroying any chance Robsten would have to someday be more than wishful thinking.
PS: Lorna, I love your writing, but although this entry was fun, it had no foundation.

lorna, good observation same way i observe them like they say its the gravity that attract the orbits around them, and kristen looks nervous about all the question that she needs to answer and end up explaning which she is not really easy with, but as of rob, [something's wrong with his neck?!or the sparkling of his eyes is on the other side?]hehehehe…

Loreley I use to believe like you but slowly I am turning. Today at first I thought no they just aren’t into each other then I watch more and more and saw something there. The real turn for me was when they both left Comic Con at the same time but in different cars heading to the same hotel, hours before everyone else left. I think they did the same thing after the MTV awards and we have photos of the morning after. I think Summit is not letting these two be what they want to be. They really do have chemistry. Thanks Lorna I love your take on them.

Well I just don’t understand how back in April Kristen was so ‘Don’t give a damn’ flaunting herself with Micheal, then, all of sudden… ‘POOF’ no more Micheal. Even when she lives in CA now and they could be together as much as possible if they wanted too. And before Kristen was very staright forward about NOT being with Rob and now she just keeps beating around the bush dodging questions like hell. Can they REALLY blame US for the suspisions they’re putting it on themselves… and of course… you gotta see the ‘Morning after Pic’s’ I don’t know about you but maybe there’s more than just friendship.
