The night was a fitting tribute for the brilliant work of Alexander McQueen, whose genius was cut short by his tragic death in 2010. Kristen Stewart joined a roster of stars to pay tribute to the beloved designer at the Alexander McQueen : Savage Beauty Costume Institute Gala held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 02 May 2011.

For the event, Kristen Stewart broke away from her traditional black and white to wear a Proenza Schouler patterned gown. In the past, Kristen Stewart was lucky enough to have worn a custom-made Alexander McQueen gown for a 2009 Harper’s Bazaar cover with Robert Pattinson.
