Joan Jett Joins Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning at The Runaways Rehearsals
In a historic moment, legendary rocker Joan Jett joins The Runaways stars Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning during their vocal rehearsal “at Sunset Sound studios in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon 15 June 2009.”
While that’s totally cool, it sounds terrifying as well to have to sing for one of the lead vocalists of The Runaways hits such as “Cherry Bomb,” “Queens of Noise,” “Neon Angels (On the Road to Ruin)” and “Born to Be Bad.”
Kristen Stewart met with the co-founder of The Runaways band on New Year of 2008 and described her impressions of Joan Jett to Parade.com
[Joan Jett is] so cool, one of the nicest, most soulful women I’ve ever met. And so many people love and admire her. It’s an immense responsibility to play a real person, one of the most intimidating things that I’ve ever had to confront. Her story is an incredibly triumphant, feminist story.
“The main thing that Joan talked about was just how much she cared about the days when she was a teenager and started singing with The Runaways. She told me that the band was what started her entire life.
