Jacob Vows Never to Hurt Bella in New Moon Trailer

What I love about Jacob is the fact that his love for Bella was all encompassing that he stood by her when she was in the darkest pits of hell and helped her scramble back towards the sunlight.
In the latest teaser trailer from Summit Entertainment, New Moon shape shifter Jacob Black vows to Bella Swan, “I know what he did to you. Bella, I won’t ever hurt you, I promise.”
The other reasons I love Jacob are his persistence to pursue Bella, fueled by a love that is kindly coated with compassion; and, the courage to bare himself emotionally, giving him strength in his vulnerability.

I think the movie will do a better job of putting Jacob in a better light because in the books I found Jacob’s persistence kind of annoying.

I agree Irene. Sometimes I felt he was trying to force her to love him. It showed that no matter how adult he looked and powerful he became, he still very much acted the adolescent kid.

I like the way Jacob is in the books. Bella is his first love and she’s always running away from him, and he wants to get her and keep she by his side. An adult Jacob… I think it couln’t work, cos he is just a teenager in love.

Bella doesn’t deserve a boy. She deserved to be with a man. As good of a friend Jacob is, he should’ve known when to back off, or at least be patient. Instead, his mindset was focused on “I want you. And I want to be with you right now.” Frankly, at the end of New Moon, I thought Jacob deserved better than forcing Bella to settle with him over Edward.

hey guys I wanna know what u think… in the video stop at 00:07 and concentrate on jacob… his head is so far from his body! it’s not his body… they put his head on another one’s body and it’s not well done!
do you agree or is it just me imagining??
I’m afraid that new moon would fail because of these small but important details! come on chris you can do better than this!

@ MadameCullen: Lmfao! I noticed that too. But I don’t know, I think that it is his head and he’s just leaning in (a little too much) but you can’t really tell because of all the hair in the way.

ummm, i love taylor and i think he is adorable, but just from this tiny clip, i have a feeling he cant act. i thought the same thing in twilight. idk. i hope he ends up being a good jacob for the werewolf lovers out there but im not sure :/ is it just me?

@irene: I’m sure it’s not his body… I mean look at his biceps! wow! comparing to his photo yesterday in the TCA it’s definitly not his hand… but why the exageration!
@molly: I agree… I’m not convinced by his acting… it’s worse than in twilight. but you know what? it’s not his fault! he’s so young and he’s asked to be the rival of edward… it’s not fair! he is like concentrating on his body more than his acting… idk…

@ MadameCullen: I don’t know. I mean yeah, there’s definitely a possibility it’s not his body. But it could also be his body but just a little more enhanced. Or maybe he’s lost a few muscle mass since they shot that scene? All I know is it looks quite similar to this:

I’m okay with taylor lautner, he seems like a really sweet guy (with sick abs =P) but something about Jacob rubbs me the wrong way. I agree with Irene too, he seems like he’s trying to force Bella into loving him. And he promises not to hurt her? HA!
