So if they’re just friends, and Kristen has a boyfriend, then what’s happening between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson? An emotional affair is one possibility.
An emotional affair is defined as “an affair [that] excludes physical intimacy but includes emotional intimacy. It may also be called an affair of the heart.”

Kristen Stewart is in the Twilight zone.
Robert Pattinson is clearly on earth, a handsome god on earth whose both feet are firmly planted on the ground.
From Ashley’s comment [to OK Magazine that "So if he was sad before [about Kristen], I think that he’s all right now,”], it was clear that Robert did have feelings for Kristen, which Kristen possibly rejected due to her relationship with Michael Angarano (a credit to Kristen for being honorable.) But clearly, as Robert have replaced those feelings for Kristen with “special friendship”, Kristen may wants those feelings back, because lets admit it—it must be pretty special to be loved by Robert, he seemed to me to be an “Edward” when it comes to love: total, unconditional, faithful and forever. Just look at the way he responds to her–total, sweet, tender, and very loving.
Yes, you are right. Kristen is having an emotional affair with Robert; she does not want Robert to let go of her yet . . . but, she is only 19 years old; she’ll grow out of it. But Robert is soooo sweet and tender to let her do as she please, he’s such a gentleman.
But one day, a girl who would love Robert will come, his real “Bella” will come along to whom he shall say: I’ve been waiting for you all my life . . .

This was an interesting post, and certainly the photos and videos we’ve seen SEEM to suggest an emotional affair. It’s too bad Kristen Stewart will probably never see this. Even if she does, she probably wouldn’t let you know.

I really like how you put it Lorna!
I think she’s got it bad. Honestly I have lots of guy friends (yes my SO gets protective of me) but I’m not acting like this when I hang out with them. And I usually hang out with them with other friends, not just me and another guy friend. Wait wasn’t there another friend with them in the picture? A sibling maybe?
I think it would be very reasonable if KS ended up with RP. I’m not into Robsten but I just feel like the pictures say more than what comes out of their mouths.

Isabel, Kristen’s brother, Taylor, was with them. He’s only like a couple of feet away from them most of the time, but, it’s like they’re in their own little bubble…

Excellent Lorna. Everything is still in speculation since there are no “proof” nor official statements. Looking at the Popsugar photos ups the ante of their emotional connection and seem to affirm their emotional affair as you so aptly put! It just seem such an emotional roller coaster for both of them and the fans who love to see them together!
At least now we have something to be “kilig” for! hahahaha!

Trust you, Unhinged, to ask the question. Kilig is a Filipino word that’s used in reference to romantic situations like these.
I was really trying to think of the English equivalent when I first used it, but, I couldn’t think of one. I was planning to write a post to define it, but, since nobody asked, I dropped the idea.
However, let me put something together. Hopefully, it will be done at the latest tomorrow.

Yes, an emotional affair seemed more like it. Actually, this kind of affair is Intense, Serious, and Long lasting.
It’s the same emotional connection between them that makes their special bond more visible to the fans naked eye. Hence, the Kilig factor!
Unhinged, I think kilig can be interpreted as “Giggles” or “feeling Giddy” in English.

I agree Lorna. KS is having an emotional “affair” with RP. I imagine myself at 19 and think, yes, it IS possible that I wouldn’t know what I want emotionally .. especially if I have been in a steady relationship for awhile. I can relate to the fact that “change” might be a little difficult. We all see her struggling with her feelings. Heck, it seems everyone knows the real score but her! Let’s hope she reads your post and sees what everyone has known all along =)
As for our favorite dazzling boy RP .. I believe he has made up his mind. Although he cannot forsee how this will end, for now, he is riding the wave and hoping for the best. I can only hope his wait will be well worth it =)

emotional affair… whatever you want to call it, is good enough for me hahahah at least they’re having an afair. they were seen having cocktail and dinner together at opus hotel way back in April which was reported by people magazine
