I Went Home to the Philippines to Watch New Moon

No, not really. I mean, I really am in the Philippines right now, but, watching New Moon with ATK readers Chi and Guinevere is just one of the many reasons to take advantage of a break from rehearsals to fly home on 19 November 2009. I had to take care of mundane but very important things as well like going to the doctor, making arrangements for my flat, etc.
So I’m off later at 4.45pm to Shangri-la Mall to watch New Moon. Thanks again to Chi for buying the ticket for me even at just a day’s notice. (Update: Thanks to Guinevere for treating me to New Moon!
)
Not to worry, I’m not posting a review here but in my other blog most likely, and, even if I did write anything here, I’ll be warning the ATK readers if I’m about to say any spoilers.

I’m back from the Gala Premiere of New Moon. I was lucky enough to get tickets for an advance show and Billy-totally hot- Burke (Bella’s Dad) and adorable Justin Chon (Eric) were present for Q&A before the movie. I’m really happy and tomorrow i’m going with my friends to watch it again. Everybody, New moon is finally here, ENJOY IT!!! I know I did.=)

lucky you!!! I have to wait another two weeks at least coz the movie doesn’t release until next week and then its sold out =(
Apparently Kristen was ‘the heart and soul of the film’ and ‘her chemistry with Lautner was amazing’. lorna what other blog will you be posting your review in?

I’ve watched it already. Be prepared & bring some tissues. Even though it was over 2 hours and a bit, it was not enough for me, I want more B/E…I can’t wait for ECLIPSE. I watched it with my hubby…he can’t believe how loud I squealed with delight. I’m going to watch it again tomorrow by myself, then I can squeal as often as I want. I was not impressed with its musical encore like the Twilight. JMO.

I’ve seen a double header, Twilight & midnight showing of New Moon. I haven’t seen T’light before only on DVD sometime July 09.I didn’t knew about the T’light world out there.
I wish NM to be successful even if it surpass T’light for the simple reason that Rob deserves to be handsomely paid. He deserves every penny of it and will cause ripple effect for the others.
For the amount of insane hours he’s done for the press junket and worldwide promotion, I’m surprised he can still stand up and hasn’t lost his voice. I’ve seen most of his interviews~lately, I wish I had a collection of them. This is the most I like in him. He’s got the wit, the humour (deprecating & wicked at times)> Saw the one with Letterman. He turned the “awkward” question into a plus. The more I admire him for that without being offensive/defensive. His answer was very honest. He showed his class & culture. I commend his parents for his upbringing. Also saw “60 minutes Australia” wherein he mentioned his parents were the least stagey parents at all.
The best interview so far I’ve seen is from primetime Paris ITV/TFI one on one(only in French) wherein Rob doesn’t only look like a gorgeous young actor but the sort of like a statesman in his demeanor. I wish all his fans could see that video to see for themselves. When leaving after the interview, personnel left their desks and lined up where he was passing by and nearly at the end, gave him a muted applause of thanks and appreciation. For me, what a sight for a young man well liked by the public!
Munich fanfare at the Olympic Stadium (Rob tried to soak the atmosphere) with 20,000 screaming fans and the best of German technology for their backdrop. LA tops it all with no Robsten photo.

I agree with you Addy,I loved those interviews too,and I love Rob
and yeah,it’s not only LA,look at that link I posted, all together,Kristen posed with Nikki and Rob with Taylor

Ana-D Don’t be surprised anymore with the non-Robsten photos. There are only 2 scenarios I can attribute that to: 1) marketing ploy within that group of Summit, Rob or Kristin’s management or some group of people trying to deflate the Robsten thing.
Remember Me is coming. I can understand if they want to build up on that. BTW, me & my friends will line up to see that movie too. Lorna mentioned earlier on that we should all be there to support Rob. Whoever made those decision for non-Robsten photos in LA & New York sucks! Hope they won’t have infantile brain doing it for ECLIPSE’s premier. We have nothing against TL or EdeR we only want fairness for Robsten fans after all most of us have already read the final book and knows the ending (if they won’t changed it) Sadly enough, we were tricked this time by someone or whoever. There should always be a compromise to please everybody in this business after all, we want all their future films be successful and we’re not encroaching on their private lives.

Addy, yeah I know all that, and I agree completely,it’s unfair, after all they are co-stars in Twilight saga and those ideas,of whoever came up with them, are [foolish].Of course,I wanna see all their future movies, and I hope they will be successful in the future, but while they are still on Twilight saga, those managers or Summit should just drop those idiotic ideas of turning movies (this time New Moon)into red carpet events and stuff like that.Rob and Kristen will have all my support and I think they just have to do what their bosses tell them to,no matter if there is Robsten or not

**SPOILER ALERT****
I went to the midnight showing of new moon last night/early this morning. I don’t know how to feel about it. The characters are all true to themselves, but the overall make of the movie had an extremely different feel to it. It was very obvious that twilight and new moon have different directors; the angles shot, music choices, and camera filters were no where near twilight. I love the franchise, but i felt torn after watching new moon. Maybe it’s because while reading the books it’s so easy to say “Bella should choose Edward”, but in the movie i felt myself getting pulled into the team jacob hype. Taylor did an amazing job as jacob and i was very impressed with his ability to make the audience see his side. It’s interesting because it’s so easy to dislike jacob in the book (which was not stephenie meyer’s intention) however the movie seems to show jacob in a way that stephenie had invisioned. Bottom line, i liked the movie, it was very different and i think i’ll have to see this movie at least 10 more times before i get used to the changes.

I kinda see what you mean Amy, I’m still 100% TEAM EDWARD but I know what u mean, reading the book I always felt like it was obvious that edward was the one but now that i’ve watched the movie it was easier for me to understand more jacob.
