Hugh Jackman Gives Love Advice to Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart
After their promotional duties for their respective films, namely, Australia and Twilight, the Hollywood stars chose to unwind by attending a karaoke session in Tokyo Japan.
Hugh Jackman, 2009 Oscars host, selected a title from the extensive song list, grabbed the hand of his Australia co-star, Nicole Kidman, and then went up the mini-stage.
As the introductory notes filtered through the speakers, Hugh dedicated the song to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who were seated together in the audience area.
NICOLE KIDMAN (LAUREY)
Why do they think up stories that link my name with yours?HUGH JACKMAN (CURLY)
Why do the neighbors chatter all day, behind their doors?NICOLE KIDMAN (LAUREY)
I know a way to prove what they say is quite untrue.
Here is the gist, a practical list of “don’ts” for you.
Don’t throw bouquets at me
Don’t please my folks too much
Don’t laugh at my jokes too much
People will say we’re in love!
Don’t sigh and gaze at me
Your sighs are so like mine
Your eyes mustn’t glow like mine
People will say we’re in love!
Don’t start collecting things
Give me my rose and my glove.
Sweetheart they’re suspecting things
People will say we’re in love.HUGH JACKMAN (CURLY)
Some people claim that you are to blame as much as I.
Why do y’ take the trouble to bake my favorite pie?
Grantin’ your wish, I carved our initials on that tree.
Jist keep a slice of all the advice you give so free.
Don’t praise my charm too much
Don’t look so vain with me
Don’t stand in the rain with me
People will say we’re in love!
Don’t take my arm too much
Don’t keep your hand in mine
Your hand feels so grand in mine
People will say we’re in love!
Don’t dance all night with me
Till the stars fade from above.
They’ll see it’s alright with me
People will say we’re in love.Song Title: People Will Say We’re In Love
Music: Richard Rodgers
Lyrics: Oscar Hammerstein II

By the end of the song, Rob and Kristen couldn’t look at each other, and made sure their glances never met for the rest of the early morning.
Lorna Lopez aka ATwilightKiss Notes Let’s sift fact from fiction:
1. Hugh Jackman is really the one performing in the video from the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! The title of the song is People Will Say We’re In Love, which enumerates the ways the couple should act so that people won’t think they’re in love.
2. Hugh Jackman and the Twilight stars really did go out for karaoke. This was confirmed by Hugh Jackman’s rep, “Hugh was there celebrating completion of his promo tour for Australia with director Baz Luhrmann and friends and the fact that the film is just going over $200 million box-office worldwide! About 1a.m., the cast of Twilight came in and they all joined in.”
3. Nicole Kidman was not part of the karaoke party, which proves pretty much that this tale is fictitious and did not occur. I’m sure Hugh Jackman would not be so rude as to comment indirectly on the Robsten rumors, if he knew about them in the first place.
4. Nevertheless, the song is quite apt for the Twilight couple, and their “real” picture uncannily mimics one of the positions of the couple on the Oklahoma! video. (go to 0:46)

Oh, is there actual gossip that Hugh gave advice to Rob and/or Kristen? If yes, I didn’t know that! Or are you referring to the karaoke?
