How Stephenie Meyer Predicted the Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Relationship
On the website of Stephenie Meyer, she answers a frequently asked question as to when Bella Swan fell in love with Jacob Black.
Bella does not fall in love with Jacob in Eclipse. Bella falls in love with Jacob in New Moon. I think it’s easy to understand why this fact doesn’t occur to her. Bella has only fallen in love one time, and it was a very sudden, dramatic, sweep-you-off-your-feet, change-your-world, magical, passionate, all-consuming thing (see: Twilight). Can you blame her for not recognizing a much more subtle kind of falling-in-love?
If we rewrite the names to fit the present situation:
Kristen falls in love at first sight with Rob during the Twilight auditions. I think it’s easy to understand why this fact doesn’t occur to her. Kristen has only fallen in love one time, and it was a subtle kind of falling-in-love. Can you blame Kristen for not recognizing a much more sudden, dramatic, sweep-you-off-your-feet, change-your-world, magical, passionate, all-consuming thing?
And, I think that Kristen Stewart is still in that stage where she’s deluding herself that what she feels for Rob is friendship, because, she’s not familiar with the dramatic fall in love at first sight and passionate type of love.
Remember, she and Mike were friends and hung out first, just like what Bella and Jacob did, before they dated and became a couple. Kristen defines love on those terms — slow, subtle, friends first before coming together romantically.
So I paraphrase and repeat Stephenie’s question, “Can you blame Kristen for not recognizing a much more sudden, dramatic, sweep-you-off-your-feet, change-your-world, magical, passionate, all-consuming thing?”

Hello!
I think you’re right about the friendship between Kris and Michael. Their relationship doesn’t seem to be passionate or sensual.
I think Kris and Michael grew up together, like a brother and a sister. They supported each other in difficult moments, specially with the rise of success.
And no doubt Kris has feelings for Michael, but I bet it’s kind of fraternal feelings now.
But it’s hard to cut such ties. He represents a big part of her adolescence, of her life.
In my opinion, Kris and Rob have fallen in love, when they first met at the casting. Love at first sight, maybe.
But Kristen is deluding herself, because it’s too painful for her to accept her love story with Michael is over.
She’s a wise person and I think she struggles with conflictings thoughts.
I wish she would make the good choice, the one will make her happy and glow!

I could understand how hard it would be to let go a couple of years relationship. But it is almost impossible to see Rob and Kristen looking at each other and don’t feel that they should be together, they are meant to be. They have so much going on with them than just chemistry.
Honestly they are so romantic together; you can feel the tenderness, joy and pain. I wish they will see it.
I know love at first sight must be true. I just think Kristen is a shy kind of person in the love topic. I just hope she feels the same way as he does and takes a chance in her life. All they got to do is try and then they will work it out.
I really enjoy reading this website everyday.

i agree with you kateharket.. i think they have.. the nylon interview was done prior to michael’s bday in december because he is now 21 not 20.. the pictures i see of her and michael even the ones taken during the sundance are not of a couple..but friends.. i think rob and kristen will be really watching their backs not to be seen together..now the casts are covering up for them.. after watching the dvd’s special features.. and seen some kissing scenes..they are not acting.. these two are in love..i am 99% sure that something happened between the two.. we’ll just wait and see!!!

I don’t think they will confirm anything yet, assuming the secret romance rumor is true. What I’m waiting is the announcement that MA & KS decided to end their relationship but remained to be the best of friends.
At this point, I believed that the latter is more realistic (fingers crossed) than the former.

and i saw, every premiere, if they were shot with catherine hardwicke (if rob in the middle of them), robert always leaned his body to kris’s body, like he didn’t care with catherine but he just put his hand behind catherine’s back

I’m dying for this confirmation. For something that shows them either together or not. Didn’t you guys find it odd that Edi and Ashley would go about stating that R & K is not a couple? It’s weird to see costars even commenting. I’m wondering if they have been prepped.

BTW is it just me but I was reminded of Kristen & Rob when I learned more about the love story of the late Natasha Richardson (RIP) & Liam Neeson.
They met & fell in love on the set of “Anna Christie” in Broadway and everyone was stunned at their intense & palpable chemistry onstage. At the time, Natasha was married to Robert Fox, a British theater producer.
Natasha met Robert in her early twenties, their backgrounds were very similar (prestigious British acting families) and they had been together for 8 years when she co-starred with Liam.
But she fell madly & passionately in love with Liam and despite everyone’s protests, she took the risk, bit the bullet, divorced Robert and as they say … the rest is history. Prior to her death, Natasha & Liam would become one of the great Hollywood love stories. True love cannot and shouldn’t be denied.
What say you KStew? Can you take the risk or as Rob said, would you prefer to live in regret?

It might be worth mentioning that Natasha was 29 when she fell in love with Liam while Kristen is only 18 (altho it seems Kristen is a girl who is mature for her age, but I still think in a lot of ways, she behaves like an 18 y.o. girl).
Maybe Kristen & Rob met too soon? I dunno TBH. Let’s just wait and see.

I think that Kristen likes Rob,because he’s a very cute and funny guy.But nothing more.Even if something more passed through her mind,maybe she thought that she’ll blow away her 2 years relacionship and if it wouldn’t work out with Rob,it’d blow away her work too.The paparazzi chase them now that they don’t have nothin.Can you imagine what would happen if they were together;And at last,Kristen knows very well that her best friend Nikkie has the hots for Rob and she respects that .She also respects her relacionship with Michael.That’s shows a really mature and good person.She’s not fooling around with every hot guy she meets.

Hi everyone, i think we all ha to face the truth, there is no robsten out there at least not for now. And kristen seems very happy in the latest picture of her and MA. So we just have to wait and see. but the outlook isn’tvery good.
From the other rumours about NR, she seems to me as a nice girl and i really doubt that she is calling pap for rumor and that crasiness. i don’t think either that she is dating rPat.But i do think that rob still has something for kris and is waiting for a moment if weakness in her relation with MA to reopen his heart to her. sorry for my english i’m from france and i enjoy your blog this is the first time i ever poted a messsage . is cool though

im so for these blogs thanks lorna. Kris is so much like bella ,maybe thats how fate chose her for the part because she needed another option in her life. Being with a person for 2 years dosent necessarily mean you are married to them your still bf and gf and being 18 dosent necessarily mean you are wiser or smatter it takes a lil while to learn how to be really in love . MA might have been her first but maybe it might not be her last. At least weigh out her options before she totally looses out on rob

I think this is very true. In the book Bella chooses Edward but I don’t think Kristen will choose Robert. She is very stubborn.
