In an Elle Magazine interview, Harry Potter star Emma Watson shared her love for the Twilight books.

My other guilty pleasure, [aside from Gossip Girl and America’s Next Top Model], is Twilight. I love those books. My friend and I read them back to back.

“This is so sad, but I literally felt depressed when I finished reading them because I thought, ‘Oh my God, what am I going to do now?’”

Thanks to ATK reader al for the heads up and em_mione for the interview transcription.

I felt the same way after I finished! I felt like I needed a grieving period or something lol.

  • robyn Says:

Amanda, exactly how I felt too. There was a pile of unread books on my desk but I only wanted more Swan Cullen, like for two weeks straight.

And yay Hermione, love that girl. Just a few days more and it’s HP time!

  • Lala Says:

Felt the same way! Only read all 4 books for a week, so after that week I just did nothing (meaning eat, sleep and watch tv). I got bored and read all the books again. Even now I still read them before I go to sleep :D

I love Hermione! She’s like my fave HP character!

  • sabrina tt Says:

I completely felt the same way! I read all the books like 10 times each and stil not sick of it!

  • Isabel Says:

I feel the same….nothing else is as good to read after the Twilight books. Something about it just captivates us you know? Maybe it’s the thought of living forever with the love of your life, about living life on the edge. I literally went thru a Twilight binge, I’d go to bed at 3 am for days(only to get up at 7) because I couldn’t put the books down.

Emma is so grown up and so pretty :-) .

  • karen Says:

oh man me too!!! it’s crazy how addicting it is! i would go to sleep at 3, 4 am and wake up at 6 or 7 just to read all day!! and when i finished i would say to myself ‘4 books are not enough’ and ‘i want more!!!’ but you gotta love them twilight books!!

  • Isabel Says:

Oh btw a few days ago I was dusting off my Twilight books and started reading here and there again…geez. Yeah talk about addicting!

  • Carissa Says:

Thats how I felt when I first read the books..I was kinda sad, feeling like I just said goobye to someone, I hate goodbyes. when I first saw Twilight I had to read the book, after that all I could think about was what happens next..its a good thing my friend had all the books..I read them all in like 5 days..couple of those were sleepless nights..lol..now I have my own collection..I just had to buy them for myself..I really wanna read Midnight Sun..

I love that even celebs are addicted to twilight..love emma watson..cannot wait for half blood prince either..so excited!

  • sabrina tt Says:

Yeap! Its an addiction allright. But I had an ulterior motive and its really embarassing…well,I wanted R&K to date each other evar since I saw the movie. But Kristen was stil with MA and Rob was upset.Twilight madness was allover and I wasnt sure if they will ever be together.Whenever I read my Twilight books…read about Edward and Bella’s love,It made me feel good, kept my hope alive for Robsten.

  • Alexx Says:

i was like that, i had one of the books in my hand at all times so when i finished them too quickly i was like… what do i don know then, so i read them all again but was better second time around because i kind of skipped through new moon (couldn’t wait for Edward coming back) lol x

  • Julia Says:

  • Jime Says:

I was depressed too! it was so sad :(
this books are amazing, a drug!
My life’s incomplete with no more bella&edward

ps: I love gg too haha

  • Naomi Says:

I was the exact same way too. I spent about a week grieving. lol. I can never get tired of re-re-reading the books over and over again. I’m positive I’ve read Twilight more than 8 times, New Moon more than 5, Eclipse more than 8, and Breaking Dawn about 5 or 6 times…yup. It’s pretty pathetic. I’ve had this obsession since August of 07 and it is not going away. It’s kinda of worrying me actually…

  • hannah Says:

my life would suck without jacob, bella, and edward:( but since they are here..my life is FANTASTIC!!:)

  • Islesme Says:

Thank you guys, it’s so nice to know that i’m not alone!! I can’t put my Twilight saga books down, doesn’t matter that i’ve already read them like 7 times. I think of them as my happy place, and i really love my happy place.

  • lola Says:

  • al Says:

    You’re welcome dear :)
oh i’m more to BD, actually i’ve been reading the books for more than 3 times. Hehe

  • Lala Says:

I just wanna say that I almost know Twilight of by heart and reads/tells them to my younger brothers every morning before we go to school ;D they’re annoyed and sometimes just ignores me but my other brother got curious and watched the movie with me and my friends! I tried it to my mom once and she always says, “Oh no, there she goes again.” lol after that she just ignores me!

Yep, Twilight is addictive and I love it!

  • Simon Says:

Heh, I came here by accident. I felt a little down after just putting back Breaking Dawn into the bookshelf. So I typed why I felt down after reading a book and I came here :)

But yeah the books were amazing. And I sincerely hope that all of you get past this depression state. I think I’ll go see the half blood prince this weekend to try and get it off my back. I hope you did your best Emma!
