From Vampire Wannabe to An All Girl Rock Band Member

Staying true to her predilection for interesting and independent acting roles, Kristen Stewart has agreed to be one of the female actors in a film that will chronicle the short and tempestuous career of an all girl rock band in the 1970s called The Runaways, known for such hits such as Cherry Bomb, Queens of Noise, Neon Angels (On the Road to Ruin) and Born to Be Bad.
Kristen Stewart will play Joan Jett, who co-founded the group while playing rhythm guitar and providing both back-up and lead vocals. The Runaways director Floria Sigismondi will also write the screenplay that will start shooting early 2009.
Kristen Stewart will also play a male character opposite that of Twilight co-star Nikki Reed, whom she has professed a deep admiration for, in a film entitled K-11, to be directed by Jules Mann-Stewart, who also wrote the screenplay. Incidentally, Jules Mann-Stewart is Kristen Stewart’s mother.
Both films, The Runaways and K-11, will work around the New Moon shooting schedule, which is set to begin on March 2009.

I commend Kristen for being so inclined to remain in the Twilight Saga as well as continuing her independent film roles. This young lady seems fearless, (much like Bella) makes one wonder how much acting do really great actors really do…or are they just channeling other nuances of their persona.
